The org says that the resurrected ones to earth will be neither female nor male (and we are not to speculate the good and bad of this). But it means their purpose on earth will be different.

A thought just occured to me ,did angels have free will? What was the test the angels had to undergo???What was the penalty for angels who failed the test ?? If you compare the horrendous outcome for humans, compared to the angelic species, their is no comparison!!! So then who is going to rule with Christ over mankind??Imperfect human beings?? 144000 ??So who do you think would be more authourised to do so ??Angels???

An anointed person just knows. It's between them and God. There's no way for anyone else to verify it or disprove it. A 15 year old could probably expect some counseling from the elders to make sure he understands what it means. But if a 15 yr old can dedicate his life to God, I see no reason he couldn't also be anointed.
Personally, heaven never appealed to me. The way they describe it sounds sooo boring. Except for the Lovely Bones version, I like that idea. The living forever....yeah, I don't think I want that either. I'd like more than 70 years on this earth but not forever. Whenever I asked as a child what it would be like I was told, we won't really know until it happens. But having a perfect mind and body leaves a lot of possibilities. Who knows what the mind is capable of when it can be used at full capacity?

Being disfellowshipped puts you outside of the congregation, but doesn't mean you can't attend meetings. So I would think, they can still go, they'd just be shunned while there. Certainly, doesn't stop them from using the restroom; especially troubling if no one else in the cong knows the reason for df. Are cong parents instructed not to let their kids go unsupervised when this person is present?
And there was a BOE letter that said court evidence or conviction can be used as the second witness. It was on Silentlambs. But that might have been a letter just to Canada or Britain or the US or all of them, I don't remember. It's still insane that they don't state that in the manual. A very important thing to omit. That and not reporting to the authorities immediately.

Amazing it took me 6 years to realize that. Especially since I was raised in the religion, baptized at 12 and df'd for being a rebelious teenager (smoking, sex, drinking, etc). That's the moment I realized I want nothing to do with this ever again and I will not let my daughter near it. Sadly, I don't think my parents will ever realize this.
(Also amazing he's stuck around this long, lol, hasn't been easy!)

| There is a effort not to announce elders children as disfellowshipped , it could result in deletions & greater work load for the rest of the remaining elders . Again this is only a human thing not an official stance . |
This is true, but my sister and I were turned in by our Elder dad and df'd. So there are some who try to be um....impartial, I guess.
ETA: and yeah, he was deleted afterwards.

Wow, no wonder my mom was always so grouchy when we went. This never ocurred to me. My mom had 3 of us under 4 years old and then another when the youngest was 5. Poor woman.
