Lol@I<3MYGod
That sounds way more fun than that other board game, the one with the tree. Can't even remember what it was about. I think we played it once and decided to stick with Cranium for slumber parties, lol!

Umm...wow! And that's not photoshopped? That's so weird. OTH, I think it'd be great if they all learned the history of their religion. But how are they to really study that if they don't have access to publications before 1950?
hey here we go!!!.
they will need to buy some more crackers and cheap wine for next year now.
what are the borg going to concocked now to cover there ass with the number of morons going up again at the memorial 2010 ?.
Lol @OTWO
The memorial invites and tract campaigns were my favorite kind of service.
i've always wondered this, and with the holidays coming up, why does the watchtower only pick on certain things, and leave other things to question, or to the conscience?.
Lady Liberty gave me this one to think about in regard to Jesus being born on Dec 25 some cultures honor the day one was conceived not born as their birthday. If you take what most JW believe Jesus was born on October 3 or 4 for what many JW's say. So count back nine months from the end of December and you get the first of October. If Jehovah impregnated Mary then he knows what day it was. Maybe it was December 25th and the JW are blaspheming God by not celebrating the day he choose to put his son here on earth in the smallest of forms.
I've also read that there was a concept that a prophet is concieved on the same day he died. I can't remember if it was Jewish or North African Christians. Anyway, if Jesus was concieved on the day he died counting back you get December 25 or January 6, which also has something to do with the 12 days of Christmas, but I don't remember exactly.
Yeah, I agree, the hating on pagan holidays is just a way to make them stick out as different. I recently went to a Christmas cantata at a Methodist church. It was so beautiful. Listening to the song about his name being immanuel, God is with us, I finally got the feeling behind it, why Christmas is so important to Christians. Why wouldn't you celebrate the day your saviour was born?
has anyone else, after leaving the restrictive rules of the jw world, tried having an open marriage, joining the 'lifestyle' of the swinger comunity?
we've been doing that for about 4-5 months now and it's been an interesting experience, in fact it's been a major distraction from the hell of rebuilding our lives outside the religion and our base of friends.
.
Lol @ grandmajones! I don't share well either.
According to what I've heard, as long as you keep everything out in the open, no sneaking around, it works for some people.

Matt. 23:13 That keeps popping in my head lately, reading bs like this. But I'm sure, as an active JW, I would have seen nothing wrong with that. Agh! It's all so f'ed up, looking at it from the outside.
anyone in jasper georgia?.
i heard through the grapevine that there's a hoopla going on within the local congregation and bethel.
the local congregation decided to take contributions for the non-jw community.
Lol! Does WTS take canned goods, too? If they don't, someone should tell that cong.
so my mother calls me on thanksgiving thursday and tells me about a fellow in her kh that i knew quite well.
he grew a beard years ago and stopped field recruiting, but kept going to the kh several times a month as his wife was still active.
the elders never really tried to show concern for his depression, but always bugged him about the beard.
Aparently, that love is only for active JW's in good standing. I wonder if they would have reacted the same way if he had died from refusing a blood transfusion. Same thing, imo.

Moshe, I'd be really surprised if any JW that answered that phone confirmed any of that. Looks bad, you know?
