i've done no research on this but i suspect that a members belief or absence of belief in god may have some correspondence with the number of posts he or she has made.. my tentative suggestion is that members with fewer than 500 posts are mostly believers while members with more than 3000 posts are mostly non-believers.
of course there are exceptions, maybe quite a few, but i'm only dealing with generalities here.

3, but I don't meet your posting threshold, probably because I haven't been here long enough. Having a passing familiarity with statistics, I might suggest your correlative metric needs to change to posting frequency. ie. # of posts/# of months. Then you might have something.
My posing frequency is 1564/8 = 195.5 posts per month. Shelby Anguiano's (a.k.a. AGuest, definitely a 1, who meets your posting threshold but does not support your assumption) is for comparison 55.8.
There are only so many men named Nickolas and on that basis there is at least one prominent JWN participant who has the facility to figure out who I am because of a related business transaction outside this forum. Whether or not he has, I don't know. If he decided to out me it could have consequences for both of us. I might sue him for invasion of privacy and the JWs in my family might be afforded an opportunity to read what I have posted, decide I'm a spiritual danger to them and shun me like they shun my DFed nephew. However, I would have no difficulty revealing my identity once and if my wife's eyes are opened to the truth about The Truth, but then I just might also decide to end my association with JWN. Frankly, there are on this board many individuals, shrouded or otherwise, for whom I have considerable respect and with whom I would welcome the opportunity to meet, but there are also those who I would just as soon not have anything but a virtual presense in my life. For that reason alone I will keep hold of my anonymity.

The problem is the circularity of the biblical argument: we believe the Bible because it tells us that it is the word of God and God cannot be wrong so the Bible must be true.
If it is important to you to disabuse your father of his notions, I might suggest the two mainstays of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, "The God Delusion" and "God is not Great", respectively. However, people will believe what they want to believe and until they want to know for sure that what they believe is sound, they will be unable to hear what you have to say.

If you believe God created the universe and all the laws that govern it then it follows that His standard is the polar opposite of perfection. It is chaos. I will be watching for this one to hit the mainstream news. Something remarkable is happening in Quebec. It was under the thumb of the Roman Catholic church for centuries until the onset of the Silent Revolution in the 1960's. It is now the most secular society in North America and becoming more secular all the time. It has just, for example, banned religious instruction of any kind in daycare centers. Nice to see Quebeckers willing to take on the sacred cow of religion, especially this particular one.

my dad about a 7 month battle with lung cancer which metastasized to the bones and he died early wed morning.
my dad was a fascinating man, complex, sometimes open and sometimes a very aloof and detached person.

Though the messenger may have been flawed, his message has obtained almost incredible accuracy as it pertains to prophecies regarding the resurgent rise of Germany, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the rise and meteoric fall of the United States, a predicted United States of Europe in the form of the now formed European Union.
Can't agree with you more on the first sentiment, prophecor. The men of the Governing Body talk out of both sides of their mouths. When their truths turn out to be falsehoods they either assign it to God revealing truth incrementally through new light (which is absurd, since their light is not getting brighter but is either on or off) or blame it on the rank and file for running ahead. If the GB were ever to make such a remarkable admission as did the new leadership of the WWCOG it would cause a whole lot of new lightbulbs coming on in the minds of Jehovah's Witnesses, but not the kind the GB wants.
As to Herbert W. Armstong's prophesies it is necessary to recognise them all before coming to a conclusion as to how remarkable they were and how remarkable the man was. What you are describing are predictions, not prophesies. My late father, an atheist, also predicted the fall of the Berlin Wall, the formation of the European Union and the decline of the United States. He also predicted the rise of China and India and a number of other things that have come about. But he saw those things because they were there to be seen. The writing was on the wall for anyone astute enough to read it. It didn't make him into a prophet, just a prognosticator. Herbert W. didn't restrict his prophesies to world events, however. He also involved himself in the mystical realm and it was there he was shown to be just another false prophet.

Herbert W. Armstong was a cultist like Charles T. Russell. He actually borrowed JW, SDA, Mormon, etc. ideas to make his new religion. He was deceived and deceived others.
After that you went cultist yourself, godrulz, asserting fantastic things for which there is absolutely no proof. We have a saying up here in Canada for that. It goes "tout ca change tout c'est la meme chose" (the more things change, the more it's all the same thing). Best just to walk away from all of it and not look back.
