  our youngest (26) just announced he's engaged.

  we love monika and the two of them are perfect together.

  One of my uncles was offered a job by Walt Disney studios in the early 40's because his artistic ability was noticed. He turned it down because the end was soooo close. He spent his life doing manual labor until he got a CO gig which lasted for 30 years when he died in an auto accident on his way to a field service meeting.

  Creepy Hand In the Revelation Book

  there are many weird and creepy images in the revelation book but there is one that i could never figure out.

  why the creepy monster like hand?

  i want to vacation somewhere sometime later this year, but i am not sure where i want to go yet.

  i need some ideas.

  Add another Chateau Frontenac, Quebec City for old time luxury and ambience, including the village around it.

  But one of the coolest I ever stayed in was the ANA (All Nippon Airways) Hotel in Tokyo. Compact but luxurious. Shiatsu massage in the room. I paid the massuese in advance because I was always asleep when she was done with me. (no, it wasn't a sexual massage)

  I also was a road warrior for several years like Shamus. My busiest year was only 190 hotel nights, but I really liked the Hampton Inns in what ever city I happened to be in.

  Stayed at the Tower Hotel on the Thames on a couple of trips to London. Great views of the Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

  The Cotswold Lodge Hotel in Oxford was like an old Agatha Christie novel setting. Very quaint.

  PS - The Embassy Suites in Portland is a beautiful, faithfully restored old hotel. I designed the kitchens and bars for the mid 90's restoration of what was the original (1912) Multnomah Hotel.

  I am going to have Acupuncture for my depression - anyone done this??

  i spent a fortune on transactional analysis in the early 90's.

  dont regret one penny of it.. i have had a paralysing depression now for about two years.

  i cant write, dont enjoy my job anymore, and uninterested generally.recently i have even started saying "jehovah let me die" as i get into bed.. i considered going down the counselling route.

  Many non-prescription aids or therapies for depression are given favorable comments by folks who have tried them. This is good. Whether it is St. Johns wort or accupuncture, vegan diet, Qi Gong, etc etc. if it works for you don't knock it.

  (The Placebo effect is real and can be very effective, especially with this complaint)
