Just to clarify my previous post. I wrote an imaginary scenario based on the topic title.
It does not reflect my personal thoughts after 30 years free of the JW cult. We have spawned 21 kids, including g-kids and gg-kids. No JW's among them

When some of the old time JW's time is up i wonder what they think in their private moments.
by karter inwe had an old time jw pass away recently he lived his entire life lie the new system was going to be here tomorrow.. he was a gillard grad and went on to be missionry in west africa.. came back home when wife got pregent(they eventuly had 3 children) ,sold everything pre 75 to see the system out and pioneer then had to work his butt off to rebuild his finances and put a roof over his familys head.. he retired and became a co till his wifes health could no longer alow it.. he got a treminal illness and i wonder in his quiter moments did he think ....".ive lived my entire life for a dream that never came true".
he's only one of many i see,their lives comming to an end and the new system is no closer than it was when they started.. .

"....well, it's been X years. I never got a high school diploma, I did that time in prison during the war, I spent X thousands of hoursgoing door to door and having Bible studies trying to convince people that the end was near (and that was 45 years ago) I was told that I would never die before the new world arrived. Now I have grown children, grand children and great grandchildren whom I have influenced with all my strength to believe that the end is near and they are embracing it with all their hearts, just as I did.
I heard today that there was an earthquake in China that killed 100,000 people, so there is still hope.
Everybody has to be somewhere.

Not meaning to sound sexist : In general are women more emotional/feel good about religion,and men more proof/doctrinal in their acceptance ?
by smiddy ini`m just speaking from my own experience here ,and it has occured to me that over the 33 years i was a witness and in the six congrgations i was a part of , except for a few exceptions, the majority of sisters in the congregations did not have a grasp of the so called deeper things of god,according to wt theology, sure they could run off " bible topics for discussion" sermons but very few could take a discussion any further than that.whereas i was aware that males seemed more likely to delve deeper into, not only the scriptures,but also the wt interpretations as a whole.
don`t get me wrong a few women left me for dead in their comprehension of topics ,but i`m just saying overall i found this to be the case ... my experience... smiddy.

he is locked up in santa barbara county jail.
he awaits bail hearing and i intend on presenting evidence to revoke his $250,000.00 bail.. thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support!.

(warning - irrelevant trivia warning.)
I helped build that Carpenteria area KH back in the late sixties. It was located near the Santa Barbara polo field where many H'Wood movies were filmed. During the construction a brother in the building trade was seriously burned by boiling roofing tar that was spilled from the roof while he was working below.
The unique thing about that KH was the partial second floor that served as library, second TM school, and grilling room for judicial committees who were busy ignoring pedo accusations.

Shadow Morton passes.......Remember, Leader Of The Pack
by designs inshadow morton may not be a familar name to many but his songs were influencial in the 60s rock and roll r&b scene.
he could neither read or write music and he played no instrument, all of his songs came to him simply in his head.. 'remember (walking in the sands)' was a breakaway sound that part operatic, part spoken, chanting, sound effects (sea gulls are heard in the background track).
performed by high school friends the shangri-las and 'written' by shadow in just 22 minutes when he pulled his car over by the side of the road, it became an international hit and influenced many other artists and song-writers.

I had cataract surgery on Feb 12
by Lady Lee ini cannot believe the difference in my vision.
even with glasses my vision in the left eye was poor.
but i can now read a 12 font fairly clearly without the glasses.

The Russian meteor weighed 10 tons and was going 36,000 mph. No one saw it coming and certainly couldn't track it. It fell into a frozen lake but if it had hit a populated area the damage and death toll would be right up there with a nuke.
Bruce Willis couldn't have stopped it.

Floaters are something you get used to. In the fall when there is a lot of fresh fruit in the house I have to decide if it's gnats or floaters in my face. Floaters don't retreat when you swat at them. Gnats drown in your wine glass but floaters don't.
