  a couple of months ago we converted the side yard into a campground setting with a fire pit, picnic table, and screen tent, etc.

  Last Sunday's WT Study Set My Mother Off

  did anyone catch any points in sunday's wt study that might have set my other off in regard to associating with non-jws?.

  here's the deal.... my youngest sister is in the process of a fade.

  my family knows she doesn't go to the kh anymore and that she is seriously dating a 'worldly' guy and very close to being engaged.. my parents have planned a weekend getaway for the family (exclusing us of course) and my mother indicated that the boyfriend would be included (although of course separate bedrooms).. then all of a sudden she called my sister today and said something was said in the wt study and so now she is not comfortable with him coming.

  Only a kool-aid drinking JW would retract an invitation under these circumstances. Make sure your sister informs the BF of the reason. No BS alibis to cover the JW mother. Tell him they just received a dispatch frm the front and they were to be extra careful to watch out for interlopers until further instructions. So, no weekend getaway for you, you, boyfreeened! Demon!

  Do you think the British are a proud nation?

  i think we are to a degree but i think its on a different level to the americans.

  the impression i get (from watching us tv and news) is that the majority of americans come across as being proud to be american and quite a possitive nation.

  whereas us brits will display pride as a nation when we have to.

  My own history, one among millions, is rooted in British history. We Americans of a certain age love the British for their tenacity and unique character. Most of us get our impressions of the British from their liturature, language and, yes, movies! My sense of humor, for example, is at home among those people. Having visited the UK a couple of times and once coming pretty close to relocatiing there for a 2 year stint, I still feel an affinity for them. I have a realistic view of what the country is like today and I have to admit, I am not even interested in being a tourist again.

  We have many British XJWs here, not to mention our founder and Brit expatriot Simon, now Canadian. Also, Besty & Sweetpea, now southern Californian degenerates. (kidding!) Lets hear from some of them.

  (PS. I regularly re-read Charles Dickens just for the pure enjoyment of his 19th century British stories.)

  My Father passed away during the night

  I have been keeping up with that weather situation down there. Hope your home and property are safe.

  After the nice weekend we had I do feel a little guilty knowing what some folks are dealing with. This winter when we have 2 feet of snow and you folks in the south are having 75 degrees and sunshine the pendulum will swing!

A couple of months ago we converted the side yard into a campground setting with a fire pit, picnic table, and screen tent, etc. Screaming kids, lots of laughs. One grandson brought his new girlfriend to meet the fam and she was love bombed. I have held so many grandbabies my shoulder was sore this morning. I've flown the flags since Friday and it is a pretty sight.

  if it wasn't an extremely late (or extremely early) april fools joke, our friend no room for george seems to have departed......from this website.

  apparently falling victim to a devastating love bomb that claimed his ability of thinking for himself and his freedom of heart, mind, body and soul.

  i was wondering if maybe in the future he will be on the convention stage in front of a couple thousand people talking about his "experience".

  okay, so i was listening to some political spin artist from obama today, and i noticed they are still using the term "inherited the worst economy.

  " this is being done, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to basically say, "hey, we are doing great.

  this is all george bush and the republican's fault.
