  Memorial Experiences

  hey, all who are or did attend the memorial..anything interesting happened?

  have you ever heard of anything peculiar happening at the memorial?.

  one of my friends gave me an experience where 4 out of the five elders partook of the emblems....daddy elder and his three son!!!

  My experiences with the JW version of Mass, (that is the once per year communion and accompanying ceremony), goes from being a child whom the emblems were passed over to the next adult on their trip around the Kingdom Hall to being an elder selected to say the prayer over the bread and wine into the microphone and then having it ceremonially offered to me on stage and then ceremonially offering it back to the presiding elder/speaker. Then passing a couple of plates and glasses to the servers who started the circuit around the hall. I remember watching sister so-and-so take a small piece of the bread and a teeny sip of wine and thinking, Wow! cool! But I also remember seeing some doofuss we'd never seen before taking a bite and a slurp. We would look at each other, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, and decide he was not of the annointed on the spot. This saved JayEdgarHoover from having to decide.

  I also remember after the meeting that certain elders would take the left overs home to have with their spaghetti supper.

  STD's and Baptism

  okay, so this came up on another thread, and now i really want to know the answer.. about 10 years ago, and elder told me they now ask baptismal candidates if they have an std.

  maybe they ask about other communicable diseases too, but he focused on std's.

  he had no reason to mention this, so i just took it as true.

  Hand sanitizing with alcohol gel is a good thing, especially in places where people interact, hospitals, day care, schools, etc.

  Aids would be impossible to contract in a typical chlorinated pool unless they make butt fucking a part of the baptismal ritual.

  i swear, i have not been visiting any sites that would tie in.

  if i look up info on, say, a particular auto i expect to be clobbered with auto ads.

  but ads for asian, russian, etc.

  True. I keep seeing an ad for some dating site that features a young woman that claims to live 2.8 miles away from me. She looks like she's about to fall out of the top her outfit. Makes me think of "Talledega Nights." JeffT

  Yes! The pnuematic blond with the black dress? She lives 3.8 mi. from me too!

  By the way, 3.8 miles from me in any direction would mean she lives in a forest.
