As a carnivore I'm sure I must. But, I am not a big fan of the iron, organy taste of blood. I do enjoy liver, though.

meat glue is apparently widely in use, and it is made from the blood products from a variety of animals.
i never heard of meat glue before today.. oh my.

when people talk about anything religious, do you mention that you don't believe in god?

I appreciate your question. I would not bring up my atheist point of view in that kind of conversation. However... I also would not sit quietly while someone made presumptuous remarks that assumed I was a believer...
If this were a business meeting, cocktail party, type situation I would assume that the person who brought up such an inappropriate subject was an unprofessional dork and keep my mouth shut.

Non-competes at work

except, i'm now looking for another job because they significantly dropped my commission.
i believe they can fire me if i refuse to sign so i have to stall.

I signed a non-compete many years ago with a company. A few years later I wanted to leave and start my own company. I showed an attorney the document I had signed. He said it was non binding but that they could hassle me with it. So....I lost it before I could return it to the files.

We all have the occasional dilemma, but your friend seems to be overwhelmed. Other than pointing him in the direction of some self help books, etc. I don't know what the answer might be.
An old book, "Your Erroneous Zones" by Wayne Dyer comes to mind as a possible help.

They hyped the date 1975 for 9 years! (1966 Truth Book, etc)
Any JW with a pulse knew what they were saying. Then in early '76 Fred F'ing Franz released a taped talk with the quibble about Eve's creation time that had not been mentioned before. They milked it to the last drop and then said "never mind"!
OK, so why do they have amnesia today? Did the date 1975 mean nothing? Apparently the whole thing was just a bad dream we all had.
To mention the date 1975 in almost any context today is a red flag that you might be a mentally deseased apostate.
Does anyone happen to know - when was the most recent mention of the year 1975 referred to in any official publication of the Watchtower?
