that purportedly talks about how world war i began.. in jw make-believe land, world war i began suddenly, and was essentially a big surprise.
so it's interesting to note that the one of the most significant things that led to world war ithe first and second balkan warsare completely omitted from the article.
As Jeff said, Fromkins book fills out the picture of those immediate events leading to war. WWI, in my opinion, caused the most cruel, wholesale loss of human life seen to date.
We who grew up with the Watchtower's version of ancient and modern history have had to un-learn it later. I remember elders who read the Babylon The Great book and felt like they were now scholars.

hello old friends, i've been thinking about going back and need you all to give me your thoughts on it.. the last year has been a horribe one for me, in the span of less than a year the following things have happened to me:.
lost my mom to cancergot hit by a carhad a professional set back that will cost over 600k to resolveended a three and a half year relationshipit just feels like every time i think things are going to get better something else hits me and knocks me down, a small part of me wonders wether i brought all these things on myself because i left the organization (yes i know how silly that sounds) and i have given serious thought about going back.
i need you guys to talk me out of it!.

I haven't read all the posts above, but it seems clear that you, having hit what is known as a "rough patch" in life, are showing signs of panic. To consider crawling under the covers with a flashlight and a Watchtower is not rational. You need to focus on your day to day existance for awhile and you WILL recover, "This, too, shall pass..." and you will be the stonger for it. Think of it as fighting off the urge to call an old boyfriend after you've just been dumped and you've had a couple of glasses of wine. Be patient

I prefer yams over sweet potatoes but like them both. Yams are kind long and skinny and are the darker color and usually sweeter. You typically would not eat the skin of the yam.
