damn! That means that they'll be cutting out the good stuff like 'the amazing sequoia tree' and 'your brain is amazing'.
looks like maybe prospective Dubs might not get the >=college education that they got in the past.
both public editions of the watchtower and its bed-mate awake!
are due to halve in pages from 32 to 16. those hoping for a reprieve in the outpouring of crap will be sorely disappointed.
fifty percent fewer pages only means the same old crap is regurgitated less frequently.

Good vid. I think it's cool that she decided to fake an affair to get out. i think for non Dubs, it kind of reinforces what drastic action is needed to get out. She might've thought she might be reproved for anything else, and maybe could not be doing with the 'encouragement' and stalking etc, which accompanies a decision to just leave for doctrinal reasons. her extreme choice is a good thing, and highlights what an evil insidious cult the JWs are. Plus, the folks in her congregation (if they see this vid) might just stop and think about the fact that she chose to lie about such an awful thing just to get out.
ooooooooooh!
who's with me??!?!?.
http://www.ahsasylum.com/.
I loved the sexy/crone housemaid. Kinduv a 'Shallow Hal' thing going on there.
I can't wait.
who else is excited?
flat-out the best show on television.
last season hit a lull in the middle, but ended with a bang imo..
I found the last episode a little unbelievable. All those shuffling zombies and not one WT or Awake in sight.
Been lovin' Dexter too, and Breaking Bad. All top notch.
just got off the phone with an old friend who attends the annual meeting every year.. in addition to the fds changes, the domestics now include both the remnant and the great crowd.. seems like an easy way of minimizing the importance of those who partake of the emblems today.. rub a dub.
The words 'Super-fine' come to mind.
i think it would be a good idea if we could get our heads together & think up new ways to extract more money for the society.. .
heres a couple of ideas i had:.
1: charging an admission fee for brothers attending their own kingdom hall.
How about:
Kingdumb Hall Meeting Entry fee - Free Admission.
Exit fee - $10
I think most first- timers would be getting their wallet out after about 2 minutes into the Public Talk.
i did.. most of the elders were decent men but i'd say a third weren't the brightest bulbs in the sky..
I'd say that 3/4 of my congregation elders are probably below average intelligence. 4 are worryingly dull witted. 2 are sharp as razors, and I can't quite make them out. They must recognize the BS a lot of the time. I would say that loyalty and blind obedience trumps ability and christian qualities when they make appointments.
Regarding the fecktard elders, I LOVE to watch intelligent sisters' faces during meetings when these geniuses come out with some toe-curlingly dim comments. I can only describe the expression as being like somebody being force-fed a shit sandwich. Priceless!
This thread will run forever.
there is a lovely site where one may light a candle for a moment of silence.. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles.
i set up a group, where they may all flicker together, if you like.. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=oompa.
(we love and miss you, oompa.).

i searched to see if there was already a thread on this but didnt see one.... .
i was thinking about this weird-a@# struggle we have all found ourselves in and one of the worst things about it is not having a soul in the world to talk to.
we find ourselves isolated from those who know us best, those we've loved dearly and the new people we surround ourselves with could never begin to understand (non-jws).
Steve makes some good points. I think that this site could be more helpful/User friendly to other potential users/newbies etc, by perhaps having a better profile for our individual users. For instance, if our profiles could have not only our anonymous Avatar, but maybe a brief few details..... like this....

Current status: baptized JW, D/A for 10 years

This would help other users find likeminded persons to ask advice and form friendships. It would help people make informed decisions about who they really want to take advice from. Let's be honest, there are some fruitcakes on here.
i've been browsing and reading threads here for a while.
i am never a jw, i am in a relationship with an inactive one, who in fact is in the middle (not knowing what to believe anymore).
i have read some of the threads here about stories of those who have experience with jws and mostly ended up hurt but there also some who made it.. and some of the threads/info/works that you all have done here are really great!.
Hi Fingercrossed,
Welcome to the forum! Yeah, even an inactive JW might go back in. It happens. It would be good to get him to at least read Crisis Of Conscience, also Steven Hassan's Combatting Cult Mind control. They're pretty unbiased, so go through a JW's bullshit filter quite easily.
