Babies Rule

before i had my son 8 months ago a baby was just "another baby.

" now i seem to be constantly noticing babies around town and watching them more intently to see how their personality is.

i never really though of the fact that even very small babies have very prenounced personalities.

Finally dared to register

finally i registered today.

being a lurker for quite some months, i convinced myself it is time to give my own 2 pence from time to time.

i am living in europe and i am still 'in', although by now i must be counted as an inactive jw.

Tell your wife to come on over to the dark side! Being free as a couple has been soooo awesome for my hubby and me. Although we are fadding....being able to have eachother is the best! Cheers and welcome again!

i am constantly reading, studying, looking up more stuff on the internet, perusing old threads, keeping up with "new light" on jwn.

i am in the middle of "in search of christian freedom" (having just finished steve's cultmind control book) and i am finding it so argumentive doctrinally that my head is spinning.

i found myself this evening with my laptop next to my desktop (all the better to reference back and forth, m'dear) the wt library cd-rom open to "the modern history of jehovah's witnesses" in twenty four parts, with a plethera of "rainbow" books open for easy reference while i was listening to an old fred franz discourse at dodgers stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!.

My husband many years ago (and then recently) told me how the example of the coal (the Jw Person) that gets removed from the fire (the cong) it cools off, but when it is place back into the fire it starts to glow again. He always said how that he found this so fitting and didnt understand why they used this example.....he was like uh ya coal gets "CONSUMED" by the fire - burned up - nothing left. He said a little distance from the blaze was a good thing to keep your whole person saine was required, lest you get consumed. (gee he really is smart and a real keeper)

And when I was/am doing just as you posted, he reminds me to not let it consume me, cool off - back away. Just enough to keep me on the edge of sainity...teheee and you are not alone I have 4 internet screens up, and i have 6 hours till I need to be at work. And my smart hubby, yup kissed me good night and went to bed 2 hours ago. It is a gift to turn It off...One I havent got quite as good as him....but I working on it....haha

how can the posters who claim to be 100% loyal to the watchtower take themselves serious i mean you are on an apostate site!

that is not allowed, you have reasoned that it is okay for you to do this, therefore you are not 100% following the slave.

Good Points, and like I mentioned in my post when they go off it makes me happy that I am no longer one. I can so clearly see their flawwed thinking/logic. And Yes we are facing a new breed of JW's maybe we need a thread on that topic.

I hope my thread will not scare anyone away, by the time I was here reading I clearly knew where I was and why I was here. I didnt start straight out in the forums. I went to freeminds and jwfacts...it took a while to be vocal and wanna chat.

I have the perfect post devised for the next encounter with such a posser....tee hee it uses the word "evidently"...haha

i want to collect a bunch of things that i can use to help my son see that the wbts and being a jw makes no sense.. i have a few in mind already.

they have to be things that might matter to a teenager, so doctrine will probably be out!.

Bullies. The Wt is simply a Big Bully. Where I live there is lots of focus on how to deal with bullies.

http://www.bullyonline.org/workbully/serial.htm this has a great list of qualities of a bully....you can talk open about bullies and how they work with out attacking the org. Then latter you can draw straight line from one to the other.

How can the posters who claim to be 100% loyal to the Watchtower take themselves serious I mean YOU ARE ON AN APOSTATE SITE! That is not allowed, you have reasoned that it is okay for you to do this, therefore you are not 100% following the slave. I also disagree with the slave…haha gotcha.

They never speak from the heart, never have a personal opinion, it is sooo sad.

Their own actions discredit them, unless they are here by WT direction, in which case the WT again keeps the rank and file in the dark keeping secrets from them.

Sometimes people agree with the Wt beliefs on a subject sometimes they don’t – that I can respect. As a long time luker, and fader, and a short time poster, I have to say this is really my only thing that frustrate me here. (Although it makes me sooo happy I am no longer under control)

I enjoy all the different belief systems, and ways of reasoning found on here. I do not know where I will end up myself. Eventually I could see (feeling a pulling) being a new testament Christian, however, with all the spiritual abuse I am really feeling like just being for now. (And all you atheists out there appealing to me and all my common sense!)

we are celebrating xmas this year for the first time.

it's kinda weird because, even though we're doing a xmas tree, decorations, gifts, we're more or less taking the christ out of christmas.

so how about the rest of you non-christian heathens?.

I'm pretty ctafty, and I have a great Idea for on top of your tree. Okay use your imagination. Take a light bulb....spray it yellow, draw a pretty face on it, glue some very pretty wings on the back, wire it to the top of your tree, and voilla....the angel of new light! I also plan on spray painting some light bulbs yellow, and glueing red felt christmas hats on them and hanging them from a tree.....new light ornaments.

I am still fadding so I will let you have the fun this year...

Suggest a coffee maker, please

i can expect my coffee pots to malfunction usually about the time the year warranty runs out.

i have gotton the coffeemakers at jip*lmart for the last 10 years or more; none have lasted much longer than a year..ok maybe 18 months at the most.. anyway, since it stopped brewing, i have just been pouring hot water from stovetop over the coffee grinds....sort of the melita way, but it doesn't exactly f l o w like a melita.. i would like to have something non-electric like melita, but i hate that name now because it reminds me of jacarass's ill tempered wife.. can anyone recommend a good coffee maker?.

also, do you find any difference in the quality of a name brand product when it's sold at jip*mart as opposed to a place more upscale?.

hehehe you just have to come on over.....lets see;

I have a Kruieg that brews k cups ( I also have instant hot water for tea as well) I use this when I have 5 mins to run out of the door in the morning.

I have a Black N Decker under counter mount 12 cup brewer with all the options. I use this when me and DH have a sleepy weekend and just hang out all day (sat or sunday) we keep a pot on the brew.

I have (My Favorite) my saeco esspresso machine with built in burr grinder. OH MY COFFEE GOODNESS! when I want a treat or when we have company this baby gets a workout.....BEST THING EVER! I also have just left it on all day and just run shots of espresso whenever I want an americano.

I have an awesome French Press in the cupboard.

So Come on over and have a cup!
