I am new Here I have posted only a couple of times.I still an nervous though. I left the witness in 2008 and am still struggling with my belief syestem .Although I am now Reading Richard Dawkins The God Delusion which by the way is a really good book I am already in chapter 2.So here I am new and unsure, if I should be on this site or not.

2010 and the 21st century things are better now than they were say back in the 1800's and 1900's.Technology is better and there is medical care.Yes there is the global Warming and there is a war in the middle east but overall things are getting better not Worse.To quote John Stuart "We are living in Hard Times not end times" yes thigs are hard we Americans are struggling to survive but remember things could always be worse.You should appreicate what you have.

i am also confident that we can learn a lot from peoples experiences & that perhaps even a few families may avoid repeating the same tragic mistakes made by the ill-advised parents of children raised in the jehovah's witness religion.. as some of you will be aware i have had a struggle in the past to free my children of the criminal effects of wts doctrine on the minds of my infant children.

I too felt like a loner when I was a Jw's no birthday's holidays and not being to date outside my religion .I am much happier not being a witness.

Dealing with the reality of death. How do you?
by confliction insince i've come to the realization and conclusion that i've been living a fictional lifestyle for the last 17 years, i've also come to identify with agnosticism.. .
but one issue that's been taking it's emotional toll on me lately is the realization of the fictitious paradisiac earth.. it was the ultimate goal as a witness- the answer to everything.
even if you had questions that couldn't be answered, you were to "wait until the paradise and ask" when you got there.. .

I am not Afraid to die, knowing that God does not exist and that there is no fear of hell or heaven all these are delsions they told us as kids to control with fear.If God does Exist I will ask him where were you? You are dead to me.

Why DO Horrible Things Happen, Anyway?
by Farkel inthe insane things that occur to people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time is scary and creepy to me.
a little girl is holding her teddy bear and as a coincidence is tragically on that same street when a bunch of gang-bangers decide to stage a gun fight because someone looked cross-eyed at one of their girl friends (you mamy insert any other bullshit reason here), so they start shooting and the little girl is shot and killed because she is innocently in their cross-fire.
when captured and arrested, the gang-bangers says they are "sorry" for snuffing out the life of that little girl.

Because we as humans are war like and violent.I personally feel that bad things such as war will be us forever.life is suffering and empty but we can make some change and purpose to the short we have.Remeber when you die all is nothing.Bad things happen because that just the way it is. Nothing can really be done about that.

Little children deserve to die at Armageddon

it disturbed me when i was a jw and it now just makes me plain angry.. here are some comments from ministerial servants & elders on this subject, which i heard when i was in:.
"you know, a while ago, people used to object to the idea of children dying at armageddon but nowadays there is a spirit in kids (massive generalisation), which just seems to make them fit for destruction.

That is just sick and makes me fume with anger.The thought that little children should die is really upsetting why would anybody in their right mind want that to happen anyboy child let alone their own? That really is just beyond me.The sheer insanity of this religion,to think at one point I was part of this crazy CULT makes both mad and sad.
