  Marble Hornets

  about 6 months ago a friend of mine linked me to a youtube series titled "marble hornets".

  i figured with a series titled that it would be interesting.

  i had no clue it was going to keep me awake for several nights and make me absolutely paranoid about being watched.

  How do you feel about the pledge of allegiance now?

  for you us citizens (and those whose nations have a similar patriotic oath), how do you feel about your children saying the pledge in school if it's customary?.

  my daughter is in 3rd grade and part of her school's morning routine includes the pledge.

  when we stopped attending meetings a year ago, my wife and i explained to her that we don't agree with the jw "idolatry" classification so, naturally, she started joining her class in the pledge.. fast forward to the present: my wife and i are both non-theists who want to raise ethical, caring, tolerant children, but also children who aren't afraid to stand apart, especially when that stand isn't popular.

  Yes I do not salute the flag even though I am no longer a JW to me it is too cultish.Even though I am an American I consider myself just a human being.Think, is not the United States just a plot of land? nobody really owns it. Countries are just human constructs of the mind.Children are forced to do the pledge of allegiance as a form of brainwashing and indocrination.The powers that be, do not want critcal thinking people to realize how badly they are getting screwed over.So they indocrinate the children knowing that children lack the critical thinking skills needed to form a sound arguement.It is all an element of control

  i am a college trying to maintain good grades.college is stressful especially this year.have any of you who are still in college, or went to college found it to be difficult in any way shape or form?.for me i am worried about finding a good career after i graduate.since the job market is still slow.. thanks.

  i've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.

  i usually take those things with a grain of salt.

  there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.
