  i for my part do not believe there is a satan the devil.

  he does not exist.

  there is a creator, but no oposite number, no satan.

  Satan just symbolizes human evil. The Devil is not real nor is demonic possession which is just mental illness.People back then did not understnad mental illness and it saw as evil sprits possessing a person.

  i was thinking to myself today,people suck humans suck.i know that when i was younger i used to see myself helpng people.but now i could care less.the reason is because in reality things will never get better.i am not saying god is going to help us.i do not believe in god.i feel that no mattr what charity you give to an organization in the end it is all futile and pointless.this life we live is hard and can seem pointless.does anybody else feel that way..

  I think they are seeing that the uptight puritan like attitude is only going to lead to more people leaving.I was never aware of how cold their are to disfellowshipped until I left in 2008. I see more young people in the future leaving due to their uptightness.

  when you were in the organization of jehovah's witnesses, did you shun legitimate courtship attempts from "worldly" men or women who were otherwise very desirable and suitable because they were non-believers?

  did you fancy them as well, but tried to get them to study and come into the organization in order to justify the relationship?.

  I was 12 back in 2002-2003 and a girl at my school asked me out. I told her, I could not date her because I was a JW.I still feel regret saying no. Confronting members of the opposite sex is still weird for me and I'm 20 yrs old.

  james olsen and richaed wheellock both bethelites.. rich templet.

  rich and james out of guilt, richard out of depression.. james and rich were both under 30 years old.. after richard wheelock (a bethel heavy) killed himself the society changed it's stand on whether suicides could be resurrectioned or not..

  I do not know of any. But I know a friend of mine, ( he no longer talks to me) was commited to mental ward.

  Creepy Talks

  do any of you remeber any talks that were creepy in nature.for example i remember a talk where a brother said "when the end comes your friends and family will be against you" now if that is not crazy i don't know what is.i remember alot of talks regarding bible prophecy and the end times.all of this did not help reinforce the sense of fear since it was 2007-2008 and the united states was going through a recession.this just proved to be fuel for their talks.give good experiences of any talks that you have had that proved to be either weird or very creepy..

  I remeber tak in where a brother was talking how it is good for young people to have chaperones while dating.I was like since I was 13 at the time.

  i wonder if anyone here would agree with this quote by wlc:.

  naturalists are typically materialists or physicalists who regard man as merely an animal organism.

  but if man has no immaterial aspect to his being, whether you call it a soul or mind or whatever, then were not qualitatively di?erent from other animal species.
