  harold camping is still standing pat on this date for the rapture- then on may 22nd, millions of people left behind on earth, who are weeping and wailing, will begin to be killed by god.

  The Great Day of Jehovah - the War to End All Wars

  for most of my life i was taught that everything we experience in our lives is a build up to the great day of jehovah: armageddon.

  i was informed, regularly, that this war would be when jehovah finally gets his vengeance from his advasary the devil.

  as jehovah's witnesses were were taught that war is the solution, so long as the kingdom set up afterwards is eternally prosperous.

  assemblies; how times have changed

  my wife mentioned our circuit assembly was this weekend, she looked at me and i let out a chuckle and said "the kids are too sick right?

  " (they weren't) but it was what she wanted to hear, an excuse from me to blow it off.

  it got us thinking about how they were kind of tolerable when we were younger.. meals with ice cream, lots of volunteering to get you out of your seat.. there was more room at past assemblies.

  Wow. I remeber when in the early 90's the conventions were somewhat exciting. I was only a child then it was around 19994-1995.But by 2004-2005 conventions became dull for me.The Witnesses seemed nicer when I was child today not so much. I guess too many of them are having doubts and just are going through the motions.

  i went to the commentary press website where i learned that temporarily only pdf versions are now available from them.

  they said that print versions could still be bought from booksellers such as amazon.

  didn't armageddon suppose to start in the mideast?

  isn't the unrest moving closer and closer to israel?

  Socrates and Me

  socrates is my hero and has been ever since i re-claimed my mind when i left the wt cult.

  when i read the socrates dialogues which were compiled by plato, i found my purpose in my life.. the greek political cult killed socrates because he called them on their bullshit.

  he was likely the most brilliant mind of his age (or any age), but they killed him for a very obvious reason: he didn't agree with the people in power and he was much smarter than the people in power.. he knew stuff that the people in power didn't want to hear.. i know stuff that the people in the wts don't want to hear.. socrates was an incredible genius.. i'm just a hack by comparison, but i may be just as dangerous as he, but in a smaller context.

  PROTESTS AT WATCHTOWER CONVENTIONS

  as you may know, the watchtower society takes great pride in its district conventions.

  please contact me if you can attend any of these protests.. there is no reason why every district convention in the world could not have a protest and receive media coverage to expose the watchtower society.

  - some loser once took offense that i hugged a sister goodbye at a leaving do and ran back to the elders like a little child telling on me.

  i was 15, this sister was in her 40s at the time.. - this elder said someone told him they saw me with a copy of the sun newspaper.

  yes, this paper is known for its 'page 3' topless girls but far from pornagraphic and i wasn't even thinking along those lines.. - one brother who had a good job was 'counselled' because he was actually able to buy himself nice things including a new car (shock, horror!!

  I remeber also being counseled about wearing caps backwards.This was the style of the 90's I also was warned against wearing jerseys with Michael Jordans name on it.
