I used to have a lot of panic attacks myself and the doctors thought it was high blood pressure. It was due to the stress. I was only 15 at that time. The stress was caused by the hectic lifestyle of a witness.

The Days of 1975
by Amazing inmany of us have pounded the watchtower publications a lot for their 1975 predictions, and the general attitdue among jws as the society pushed the last few months or even weeks before armageddon - as 1975 approached.
what we have not mentioned too much is what the jw culture was like, and how we all saw world events lining up to bring forth the war of the great day of god the almighty at har-megeddon!.
late 1960s: as we wrapped up the decade of the 60s, we had witnessed three major political assassinations, the stepping up of the endless viet nam war, the social rebellion of the hippies, the loss of usa national and international respect, declining economy, irrelevancy in many mainline churches, the drug culture, college riots everywhere, and civil rights movement -- all of these -- nearly splitting our nation apart.

Eight questions about Nathan Knorr
by Skimmer ini have some questions about nathan knorr, the third president (1942-1977) of the wtbts.
accurate answers are welcome.. 1) how did it come about that knorr was made president of the wtbts in 1942 after the death of joseph rutherford?
rutherford as we know was an usurper inheritor of russell's wtbts in late 1916 after russell went to his reward.

They really are pooping their pants over these latest "signs"...
by undercover ini've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.
i usually take those things with a grain of salt.
there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.

I wonder how they are reacting to the protests in wallstreet.
