  Would you say anything?

  i'm in a coffee shop and at the table beside me are two business-cult recruiters trying to get a young lady involved in their pyramid scheme.. unfortunately i have to leave (work related) before the recruiters leave, so i don't even have an opportunity to act on this specific situation.

  that said, if you could would you say anything to protect the young lady from these scam artists?.

  i'm an atheist, and i'd like to take some time to talk about why i hold a great deal of respect for the jehovah's witnesses, and some words of encouragement that may put an end to the ridicule and disrespect you seem to get from, well, all sorts of people.. .

  i never gave this kind of criticism a second thought: i knew nothing about you, and i figured you were just another fringe group of christianity.

  i now feel terrible about this, and i wish to apologize for my (admittedly never spoken) disrespect.

  Will the WTS ever give up on Armageddon?

  how much longer will people wait for him to return?.

  will the wts still preach the nearness of armageddon 100 years from now?

  Paul didn't need any scriptures to have faith in Christ. In fact, he had spent his life studying the law and scripture, and yet denied him. Nor did he decide he would have faith in him because of something he found in scripture. His faith came from direct revelation. Not from measuring that revelation against scripture.

  Does God speak to you? HOW?

  an answer to this question is subjective to the individual an a posteriori experiene.

  however, can there be an a priori experence, one that is objective, outside the bounds of personel experiene, or does it remain subjective?

  god speaks to me, through many venus, except audible.

  i was 14 years old and a high school freshman.. we were at school when we got the news.. girls began to cry, teachers wrung their hands, some of the more outspoken senior boys began to curse and throw desks around.. the guidance counselor quickly put a stop to that.. the principal called an assembly where we were implored to calm down and not act rashly.. it was a surreal day.. syl.

  How much do you believe in God's blessings?

  the more i talk to the brothers and sisters, the more i question what so-called "blessings" god gives to us.

  yesterday i had the #3 talk at the hall.

  and because my family has that "perfect family example" status in the hall, i got all the comments about how wonderful i did and how fantastic it was for being a young man(20)....yada yada yada.

  growing up in the organization i was told that the tetragrammaton was removed from the bible and replaced with "lord" by satan.

  satan did this to confuse the world and further his agenda.

  what i found out when i left the organization was that the original language the bible was written lacked vowels.

  What a STUPID morning on the ministry!
