  in some previous posts i have asked certain questions that still haven't been answered.

  so without going back to those threads and possibly de-railing them i thought it best to make a new topic.

  please bear with me.. i have asked certain ones to prove the existence of god or christ without referencing any biblical writings or characters.

  FlyingHighNow: It's puzzling, the amount of questioning of believers that takes place here on JWN and other ex witness boards and facebook on this subject. Discussion is one thing, but the constant "Prove there is a God" comments and threads is another. I just wonder about this difference between never been witnesses atheists and especially the born or raised in atheists. It's an interesting concept. I believe we are all on our own unique journeys spiritually or not spiritually. And hopefully we try to respect each other's journey. It's not easy to do sometimes, but it's something to aspire to. I respect that some do not sense or feel or see evidence of God or gods or higher intelligence. I'm just stating this difference I have seen in atheists who weren't ever JW's and ones who were.

  Same can be said for Christian propagation on this site as well

  an irritating debate i have with my dad is about the dubs and their preaching work.

  he feels they are the only group actively spreading the bibles message and this is another proof of their being the true religion.

  i have pointed out that other religions actively preach and pointed out flaws in the witness method of preaching blah blah blah.

  1) kalam argument -- what begins to exist has a cause, the universe began to exist, therefore the universe has a cause2) the design or fine tuning argument -- the regularity of the universe suggests the existence of an intelligent creator3) the ontological argument 4) its impossible for "something" to come from "nothing"5) the argument from morality.

  a moral law giver must exist6) the argument from experience.

  the proof is in the pudding.

  for years now after my exit from the wtbts i have searched for god.

  as i have previously mentioned in other threads i looked into many other religions, including druidry, zen and tibetan buddhism (not really a religion), asatru, native american shamanism, kemetic orthodoxy, gnosticism and pandeism.

  The requisite to having a notion about Christ is word of mouth and the bible,.....

  For once show me a person who has never hear of Christ, who was not cultivated with the idea of Christ,... learn about him through means of holy spirit(no interference from man), meaning the bible or word of mouth.

  i have been told that samuel herd gave a talk at the annual meeting that continues a specific rejection of the nuremberg standard within the organization.

  by citing the example of gideon, he taught that if we obey a foolish or wrong command in jehovah's organization, we are not blamed by jehovah.

  this continues and intensifies the arrogant (and yes, satanic) idea that 'we can't be wrong'.

  Awen: IF we don't look to the Bible, how are we supposed to know anything at all about Christ?

  Aguest: The same way Moses, David, and others like them did. From Christ, himself. Through holy spirit.

  Shelby if you had said that you where born in India as a brahmin, then I would have to agree with you, but you learned of Moses, David and others like him from the bible

  Awen: So again I ask you to tell me who God and Christ are without using the Bible as a reference since as you say we shouldn't look to the Bible for the answers.

  Why have you remained theists?

  i realize many on this forum are atheist, and theres many threads to show why.

  some believe creationist lack knowledge or understanding and that we are too ignorant to realize there isn't a creator.. i have studied (not in depth) first year college science, and am studying medical/health currently.

  i am also very interested in astronomy, and have learned a little in that area.
