  How to respond if JW turns the tables re: justified deception b/c of mind control

  i'm reading the example in combatting cult mind control where the parents deceive their cult-indoctrinated son into going to his grandmother's house, not telling him they have a counselor and former cult member waiting to talk with him.. when the son is angry with them for deceiving him, they justify it by pointing out that because he was under mind control, they knew from his previous refusals to talk with former members or examine critical information, that he would have refused to talk with the counselor and former member if he knew their intentions.. a jw could turn the tables on this.

  they could justify their use of deception because since they believe the outside world is under mind control by satan, people would refuse to talk with them if they knew the whole story up front.. is there any way to respond to this?.

  It's called snapping him out of it by the same methods that he was deceived by. Hopefully it will encourage the 'Dominoe effect'

  More Partaking at Memorial, Could It Be the Elderly?

  this is not a conspiracy theory, although the goofy title may suggest otherwise.

  the memorial partakers keep going up and up each year.

  there are obvious reasons for this and the wt, feeling the embarassment and threat to the 144,000 doctrine has addressed it in the publications.. but i was thinking back on an odd situation that happened with two older, long time, faithful jws.

  note the home page..wow how it has changed.. jehovah's witness discussion forumthe place to discuss anything relating to jehovah's witnesses and the watchtower bible and tract society... or just make new friends!.

  many of the posts have nothing to do with with jehovah's witnesses and new ones coming on this board would be turned off by the content of many of these off color posts.

  foul inappropriate language which is not proper or suitable for exiting witnesses to visibly inspect.

  I was in 3 or 4 grade,....... we watched on television as it was happening. It was my first observation of a launch.

  My teacher started to cry, and I couldn't understand why. I thought it was suppose to explode. I understood the gravity of the situation, when I was older.

  paul's letters practically invent christianity.. the gospels trickled in after him.. paul never walked with jesus and yet explains him.. never a quote from the master at all.. yet, paul is such a maven.. if jesus couldn't be bothered to actually reveal what he was all about to his apostles with whom he ate, drank, spoke and slept---why this persecutor, saul?.

  the apostles heard every word jesus spoke and were willing to die for him.. paul didn't--yet--miraculously explained every detail of the entire history of god's purpose including his messiah.. .

  can anybody provide a non-gimmick answer?.

  there seems to be a common denominator of former witnesses who accuse the watchtower society of being a false organization.

  what they crave is acknowledgment that their way is the best way.
