Thanks for sharing Ms.J,
I too, over the last couple of months have come to what I call a confirmation period, with my peeps.
and to hear you talk about your experience brings me more clarity, thank you!
i'm keeping my distance from my parents but i keep running into my mother around town.
yesterday it was at walmart, a couple of weeks ago it was at the mall.
both times my husband was not acknowledged (basically shunned), hubby says its a weird feeling but he's ok with not having to talk to my mother.. i call my mother every couple of weeks or so and the last time i spoke to her (about two days before walmart) she said that she wished we could go shopping or go to lunch together.

estimates range from 4 million to 15 million children die from starvation each year on this planet.
that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.
Hats off to:
Tammy and Psac
It is not beneath you both to say "I don't know".
Much respect,..

Now you see why "others" write words upon words of hidden insults.

his article, below, briefly explains the purpose of his new book.
why we must reclaim the bible from fundamentalists.

Accepting that view, we must also understand that IF God does exist ( and by God I mean a being of power beyond our understanding and NOT subject to the laws of the universe as we knwo them NOW) that God can ONLY be understood by US at OUR level and that does NOT mean that we are correct in God being "that way" but that we simply can ONLY u nderstand God in THAT way

I presume that you are being presumptous!

How would you know how an omniscient, omnipotent, God should act?

Then "god" and the idea of "god" should be questioned, as well

@Sizemik
This is a perfect set-up for a Christian,.......
I would like to see where this goes.
edit:
Sizemik: Arguments over who's to blame for human misery is a strawman IMO . . . natural disasters are just that.

What is a natural disaster to an omnipotent God?

Tammy,....I must say that I see more "God" in you, then "god" himself/itself
It hurts me to see you defend this stuff.
