  I find it very hard to believe in a god

  but i find it equally hard to believe in the evolution theory .

  so for now, i chose not to believe in anything but myself and love.

  that was all.

  newborn, my way of understanding evolution is to think of symbiosis - I find I can relate to evolution much better like this. We see symbiosis all around us particularly in the plant world and it is an important catapult of evolution. For example the chloroplasts that enable plants to synthesize sugars were once free living bacteria. Nowadays they cannot live apart from their hosts, the plants that cannot survive without them.

  my eldest son (40) and his jw mom (in here 60,s) can not have a. decent conversation before he storm off in anger.

  all famlies have their problems, we are no different.

  babayaga, please read my post again and tell me where I said NPD is not a real recognized, diagnosable abnormality or that it is simply cultural difference/generational difference. I would like very much for you to at least acknowledge what I am saying, even if you don't agree with me, instead of jumping to conclusions.

  jameswoods thats exactly what I was thinking re former's use of the word church. I often find myself saying church when talking to people who are not witnesses. Former could easily have developed the same habit.

  I think he means he is not known as a good debater there (in his household) when he says he is not a good debater here. His writing style is completly different from debator's. WTF - give him a break.

  911 AND MY BROTHER AT BETHEL RINGS ME TO SAY TAKE COVER

  my younger brother was at bethel in london when the 911 took place in america.

  he said this is it and the great tribulation had started!!

  i was at work in liverpool in the uk on that day and i was shitin it when he rang my mobile.. i then had a call from other my brother who was df 3 years before but some how he was shitin his pants also.

  what shocked me was how nationalistic bethelites were when this happened. I remember being very confused by all the side taking going on at Bethel. I did question whether this was God's organisation because they were acting as if Jehovahs witnesses was an American religion.

  okay to get back on track. It looks as though people with narcissistic personality disorder may seek out a niche in the JW religion because they have an opportunity to express and enjoy their disorder. I think this is true.

  breaking the cycle is the most productive thing one can do.

  edit: my mother was a drama queen too but I do know that she experienced a lot of distress for the harm she inflicted but owing to culture she did not have the opportunity or the means to get help.

  edit, edit: Mrs Jones after having read back over my original reply to you I want to apologise for sounding dismissive and for giving the impression that I was trying to stop people talking about this terrible subject. What I was trying to suggest was a way to come to terms with the harm parents cause. But, sometimes, because of the extent of the harm, it isn't possible to do so and one can only reflect on it in horror.
