yes tec but part of growing up and growing away from Jehovahs witnesses means that we have to be strong in judging otherwise how is one to discriminate about what one wants and what one doesn't want.

brotherdan thanks for sharing your blog. I agree with way you've applied these verses. I think Paul probably did have atheism in mind especially because of what he says at verse 2. Paul did not mince his words and there were many atheists around at the time.

Along with false prophets (like Jehovah's Witnesses) the Bible fortells people that would be happy in their godlessness. 2Tim 3 says that men would be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

iconoclast - breaking away from the tribe

i've recently finished the book, "iconoclast - a neuroscientist reveals how to think differently" by gregory berns.

he sure makes a person feel better for being a rebel.

the book moves quickly and is an entertaining journey through the mind an how it works.

I figure this is why so many of you left successfully by allowing yourselves new experiences, and moving away if necessary.

not easy to break away from the tribe and start afresh and I agree that this is what we are doing in getting away from Jehovahs witnesses. They are a very close knit tribe and this makes it all the more difficult but I think its worth the effort

(i've been saying 2001 but that is wrong) anyways djeggnogg had some comments abotu what he saw on the clip and what he knows about lifton's mnd control terchniques.. i am taking that part of the discussion to a new thread.

... because the stupidity of what you are doing is transparent even to the newborns and farm animals of medium intelligence

as there was a time when I was considered not to have any intelligence at all. (Now my computer has coffee all over it - lol)

cognizant dissident, its so good to hear that an individual has moved on with his life and no longer considers himself an ex jw. Now he is just a person trying to live his life. This is indeed what I am aiming for.

primal; animal not intellectual - ouch, love it - thanks - I'm already seeing how this would work. Jehovahs witnesses do quash the animal side and I must say I've have been concentrating on intellectual angles.

My computer is not safe so let me see which friend of a friend I can get to download it for me.

Now where has that great fighter djeggnog (who is devoid of animal instincts) gone?
