One Sunday, when I had given the public talk, a visiting sister came up to me after the meeting and said, "I want you to f*** me."
A few months later I gave the "special talk" and kept looking in the audience.....

here is what it is like to those on the inside of the door:.
the children got up about an hour earlier than normal.
obviously, they are anxious to start opening up the presents under the tree (and most children are not going to want to sleep in on christmas morning).
I would never go in service on holidays because I knew the people would be busy celebrating, and even have family members visiting, so it would be rude of me to interrupt them.
Telemarketers don't call on holidays, so why would we go out in field service on those days?
I am not a sports fan but I had enough sense not to go in service during the Super Bowl.
hello everyone, id like to introduce myself a little.
ive been viewing the comments and topics on this website for about a month or two and have found it both interesting and enlightening.
i can almost relate to about anything to anyone on here.
Hi and welcome.
Yeah whenever I met sisters they always were concerned with how much money I made. Not because they wanted a husband to support them so they could pioneer, but because they wanted a husband to support them so they could spend his money. I actually had sisters showing up at my front door because it was well known that I made a lot of money.
i used to go out in service with this particular elder and after a while he developed a habit of saying...disturbing things.
i remember one occasion where he reminisced in rather graphic detail about a handjob some other guy gave him in school.
i recall another service venture when we passed a woman out walking her dog and he asks "do you ever wonder how many women who own dogs have sex with them?
No, but the one you mentioned is obviously brazen.
besides the usual drivel there were a couple interesting things.
1. an entire 1 hour discourse on helping our children become little innocent martyrs for the wt via.
their flawed and unreasonable blood doctrine.
I guess that means that if an elder's ADULT child goes to college, the elder has to kick him out of the house if he wants to remain an elder.
in late 1976, i had just turned 17. everyone in my family dropped out over the next few years, except a a brother who has been going strong his whole life.
my mother went back a couple of years ago and i live in the same town as she does and she keeps talking to me about it.
reading this forum, it sure brings back a lot of memories.
FloridaPerry, welcome. Regarding your comment about the younger ones, "when they let go, they really let go!" That is so true. I have worked with prisons and discovered that many in there were witness youths who got into heavy partying, fights, thefts, and other crimes.
And yes, there really is stalking going on. Elders have come and walked around my property to peek in windows, try the doors, feel the car's hood to see if the engine was warm or cold...things like that.
well, an interesting thing happened today, here in southern california.
as i was sipping my morning coffee, i heard a distinct knocking on my door.
the front door was closed, so i didn't open it.
When I used to go out in service in the morning, if it appeared that the householder might not be up yet - curtains still closed, no sounds coming from the house - I'd knock lightly so as not to wake them up. Just loud enough that they could hear it if they were in their living room. However, quite often this would backfire....I'd knock lightly and then I'd hear 4 or 5 large dogs inside going berserk, which would in turn get the next door neighbor's dogs barking too.
Many witnesses I worked with wouldn't care if the householder was obviously still asleep. They'd pound on the door extra hard. Their reasoning was, "If your house was on fire, wouldn't you want your neighbor to wake you up? Well something worse than a house fire is coming," referring to Armageddon. I'd explain to them that their reasoning will only offend and antagonize the householder. It would be better to make a note of the address and return at a later time, such as Sunday afternoon after the meeting. I would always remind them that we come uninvited and therefore we need to be considerate.

while i don't (yet) have the urge to remove myself from life, i can understand the hopelessness part of this.. .
the reason i am making this submission with this title is because i find my life to be mostly similar to a prisoner.
When I was a MS I was involved in the prison ministry and I worked with many prisoners, including death row inmates in the state's most secure supermax facility. I had direct contact with them, not separated by glass or bars. One particular death row inmate wanted to be executed and get it over with. However as his case was going through the appeals process there was the possibility that his sentence would be commuted to Life Without Parole. He did not want to spend the rest of his life in prison so he killed himself. I don't blame him! And I'm sure there have been other cases like this.
Also, Luo bou to posted: "I don't see why suicide can't be a rational decision" I thought of the example of the Twin Towers on 9/11. Some who were trapped inside realized they were going to perish in the flames, and therefore decided to jump to their death.
"i love you more today than yesterday" by the one hit spiral staircase always makes me feel good when i hear it!.
what's a "feel good" song that makes you smile or brightens up your day?.
"Pink Shoelaces". It's from 1959 or something.
i have followed everyone's advice.
i went to the gravatar site.
i registered, got an email with a link to active my account, clicked on the link, got a further response that i was registered, went to my new account, yes they had me under my email, emptied my "cache", i chose a picture, gave it a g rating, and confirmed my photo and email together.
Shall the clay say to the potter, "Why did you make me into a green blob?"
Be thankful. Green blobs are easier to find in a crowded parking lot. Green goes with everything. Imagine if you had to be a purple blob! What would your life be like then? Scarey thought, huh? All the other blobs would laugh and call you names, and never let you join in any blob games.
