White Racist Churches.
by refiners fire infor a number of years now i have been involved with churches that would be labelled "racist".
white supremacist churches.. there have been two of these i have associated with: .
the "church of israel" which (until recently) was run by a man called dan gayman.a preacher who preached from the pulpit with a gun on his hip.. the other was that movement which is referred to as "identity".. christian identity.. both of these churches tended to be seperationist.

Can any Witness possibly anwser this question?
by jerome inhello all... i came across this line of questioning many months on the inet so i decided that i would submit just this once to peer pressure and make a usefull contribution to the board.. here is the question... is jesus just "a god?".
many of the regular inet surfers would have come across this line of questioning before so if you have you could just sit back and relax and read the replys.. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>.
me: so is he a 'lesser true god' or a 'lesser false god?'.

Mox:
Ps. 82:1,6--speaks of judges as gods but this certainly isn't advocating polytheism, since we know the Jews were monotheists.
The obvious meaning is that these human judges are supposed to be "godlike" in their prerogative of establishing justice on earth.
But it is quite obvious that they are not acting accordingly and thus receive God's judgment instead. Now in Jesus' quote of Ps. 82:1 (at John 10:34-35) is he advocating polytheism? Hardly. Jesus' claim of unity with the Father provokes a charge of blaspemy. Jesus' appeal to his "good works" is rejected (see also John 5:16-18). So he gives a scriptural argument from a "lesser to a greater" case; if Scripure can speak of human judges as "gods", why are those in his audience remiss in
recognizing that he is God's agent? Why do they fail to see that he is the Son of God? -

John 1:1 places the Word in the beginning. It doesn't say the Word
had a beginning. Gen. 1:1 says: "In the beginning God created..."
God was there in the beginning, but no one would suggest He had a beginning. Moreover, vs. 26 indicates that God was speaking to someone, because it says "let us make man in our image." He couldn't have been speaking to angels as some infer, because angels themselves were created and did not create. (John 1:3) Hebrews 1 and 2 prove that Jesus is not an angel, but that he is superior to them. And
1 Peter 3:22 shows that angels are subject to Jesus. So when it says
"let us make man in our image" it could only be referring to the Word
who is Jesus. There never was a time when God was without His Word.
There never was a time when God was "speechless." Gen. 1 on numerous occasions says "And God said..." Does God have a mouth and voice
to speak as some believe? Or is this an anthropomorphism? Is God's spokesman (the Word) there at the very beginning of creation or not?
If Jesus is already in the beginning then both the Father and the Son are co-creator. Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God (Rev. 3:14) not that he himself was created, but rather that he is the
origin of creation. See also Col. 1:16-17 -

Honoring Parents
by JosephAlward inthis is my response to a true believer who emailed me about my claims that the gospel stories were plagiarized from scriptural antecedents, and about my claim that jesus showed disrepect for parents--if you can believe the bible:.
do you have proof -- not your insights -- for your claim that the bible is nothing but a mimmic of ancient myth?.
evidence is all i have.

Joe:
You are correct in questioning who actually wrote the Matthew that has come down to us. The reason I said he is believed to have been the author is based on our earliest (ca. AD 125) patristic source of information, Papias of Hierapolis, who suggests that:
"Matthew compiled the Sayings in the Aramaic language, and everyone
else translated them as well as he could" (Eusebius, HE 3.39.16)
If the apostle Matthew, then gathered the saying of Jesus together in a collection, he would be the start of the gospel tradition. However, you are right in questioning since the Matthew
that has come down to us was written in Greek and no one has identified this author. -

I must agree with you that the Gospel writers were not all eyewitnesses of Jesus. Luke in Chapter 1:3 indicates that his sources are second-hand. He certainly appears as a companion and fellow worker of Paul in Col. 4:14; 2 Tim. 4:11 and Philemon 24. He probably got much of his information from Paul. Mark is believed to have been a companion of Paul (Phil. 24;
Col 4:10; 2 Tim. 4:10) as well as Peter (2 Peter 5:13). Paul's testimony is based on a vision. Peter claimed to be an eyewitness. Matthew in
chapter 9:9 and 10:3 is an apostle and is believed to be responsible for the book after his name. He would have been an eyewitness. The writers had good sources and good teachers. Why would they not have understood Jesus' teachings as it was handed down to them,
albeit if not all of them received it directly from His mouth? -

Saint Satan:
Come to think of it,upon closer observation, you more closely resemble a crustacean,
perhaps a crawfish or lobster. Your appearance is really not so
scary or even sinister. What to do with the fork? Why, of course,I could use it to eat those tasty little critters.
