My Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary defines truth as "the state of being the case:FACT." Now how can something in accord with fact or reality change? Fact, in turn, is "the quality of being actual." If truth doesn't have objective reality, it isn't truth. You should call it something else. Maybe, Miracle Wheat???

Can 'truth' change?
by wholewheat in.
in another thread i posted the following thought, but i wanted to post this for everyone to see and give their input.. the argument that 'truth' never changes holds no water.
according to random house webster's dictionary, 'truth' is defined as follows,"conformity with fact or reality".. the word 'conform' is defined as,"to bring into agreement".. if 'truth' never changes, then how can something taught in science that is considered to be 'exact', later be corrected by 'conforming with fact or reality so as to bring into agreement'?

The blind man whose sight is now restored is upholding Jesus' position, that of being from God, which the Pharisees were denying. Jesus is not merely a representative of God like John the Baptist was; Jesus is from God, because he was originally with God in heaven. See John 1:18, John 3:31 and John 6:38

Does being called an 'apostate' upset you?
by wholewheat indo all of you ex-jehovah's witnesses get upset when you are called an apostate?
you all call each other apostates, so why should you all get upset if i call you apostates?
if you don't like being called 'apostate', what title would you prefer?

Wholewheat,
Anger management? You ask of us, what you say Jehovah does not have. Has he no anger control? Remember Armageddon?

Wholewheat,
Turnabout is fair play. How do Jws feel when ex-Jws refer to them as dubs, Jehovah's witless, and make references about the borg, the kingdumb hall, the witchtower, afake magazine, etc.? I have already noted that you do not like to be called Buckwheat.

It was on the local t.v. news here, where I got the web address. People who work near the rail line were interviewed. No one was in favor of the route passing through heavily populated cities. Suggestions are that you call your senator to voice your opposition; that is, if you have misgivings about the plan.

Was Russell a freemason and an adventist?
by wholewheat inwas russell a freemason and was he a member of the adventist church?
-
Kenneson
Was Russell a Freemason? No, he does not admit to being a Freemason. Although he did apply that term to himself, it certainly was not in the sense that some have inferred here. His meaning is quite clear; he believed himself to be a spiritual Freemason, not a member of the fraternal order. Having said that, he was, however, quite amicable to Freemasonry.
Anyone interested on finding out Russell's views on the topic should consult:
Scroll down to C.T. Russell's View of Masonry and Symbolism
Read thoroughly page 3.

tdogg,
Since the inception of the words "under God" in the Pledge in 1954, I know of no war that America has fought just because a nation does not have those words in their Pledge. Do you? So what are you really implying?
