    Thank you Naeblis,

I just had a bunch of apostates in the chat tell me that Russell was both a Freemason and a member of the adventist church. I knew that they were wrong and I hope that they read this. It is a sad thing when a witness knows more 'apostate information' than the apostates.

Well, the light gets brighter as the apostate god Apostor reveals more information to us. Apostates being wrong about this one thing in no way means they are wrong about others. Hope this helps /Naeblis

Russell himself said and I quote him:

    " I am a Free Mason ".

What I don't get is what WW wants with Russel and Rutherford. They're Apostates, dontchaknow? They taught things which are different to what the Organization "teaches" today (read: force-feeds). So you must not listen to their poisonous lies

Russell a freemason? To simply say "no" will not suffice for some, this topic has been beaten to death not only on this board but on others. Russell has denied ever being a freemason and there is no evidence of him ever being a freemason. In fact all those who cliam he was have never produced a shred of evidence, surely iof he was there must be some evidence from the masons, a signatures, a roster, documents... there are none.

However, Russell, AND his Father Joseph were BOTH Adventist, having affiliated for some ten years with the Advent Christian Church, most if not ALL of Russell's mentors were of the Advent Christian Church. When George STorss and George Stetson died, Russell inherited their following.

From what I've read through other websites is that Russell was never actually a freemason, but he did promote some of their ideals.

As far as him being an adventist, I don't know, but I trust that RR probably knows more on the subject of Russell than most of the other posters on this board. From what he said above, Russell would have been considered an apostate by the Adventists.

    RR:_____

Your reply surprises me. You acknowledge that the Russells were Second Adventists without any hesitation._____

Actually, as I know you are aware, Storrs was NOT a member of the Advent Christian Church. Despite his temporary association with the Life and Advent Union, he is probably more accuracy described simply as just a general Second Adventist._____

Since you put so much stock in Charles Taze Russell, I am interested in your opinions as to how CTR tried to minimize, if not flat out deny, his association with the Second Adventist movement._____

Maybe you woud like to comment on:_____

    1. Russell's portrayal that he "just happened" to walk into Jonas Wendell's service in 1868-9._____

    2. Russell's statement that the SAs led him to "no truths" (technically correct)._____

    3. Russell's failure in his later years to fully and truthfully explain his relationship with Stetson and Storrs._____

    4. A.H. Macmillian's obvious lack of understanding of the real historical situation despite his misconception that CTR had filled him in sufficiently to write regarding such, including CTR misleading AHM to the point that AHM thouht that CTR had published "OBJECT" in 1873._____
