Thank you The Quiet One. I want to make sure I am crystal clear on his position. Concerned JW do I understand your position correctly? I don't want to misunderstand you. Please answer yes or no or correct anything that I have misunderstood in my summary.

Concerned JW - From what you have said, I would like to summarize what I understand your position to be:
1. You will not answer whether or not you feel the JW organization is currently making any mistakes. It was a simple yes/no question you refused to answer.
2. You will not name even one mistake they are currently making, if you feel they are making any at all.
3. You feel that any mistakes they are making, if they are making any at all, do not matter.
I find #3 to be the most interesting aspect of your position. I may start a new thread about it.
Do I understand your position correctly?

My interest is in showing that mistakes are not the issue since we cannot avoid them as fallible humans. Listing mistakes for your benefit only plays into the assumption that they do matter.
Ok. Aside from naming anything specific, just to make sure I am perfectly clear, do you feel the JW organization is currently making any mistakes? Yes or no?

Concerned JW, I demonstrated that my original question is not loaded. I also explained further what I was asking in the following:
Concerned JW wrote:
Are you saying this topic is about listing JW mistakes? rather than my saying "mistakes will happen" that you quoted in the header? If that is the case I can add nothing further since that is my point!
The topic is the question I asked in the original post which was:
Concerned JW, if mistakes will happen, I was wondering what mistakes you feel the JW organization is currently making? Can you name even one?
Yes, I am asking you to be more specific than saying "mistakes will happen," and please tell me what mistakes you feel the JW organization is currently making. By "currently," I mean at this very moment. I would like to know if you can name even one mistake you believe the JW organization is making at this moment. Or make a list if you can think of more than one.
If you do not answer this question, am I correct to assume you feel the JW organization is not making any mistakes at this moment?

To become more productive regarding this phenomenon, I wonder what advice experts give for what to do when you encounter someone in that situation. A separate thread discussing this phenomenon along with practical advice and references might be good.

Discussion of mind control can be found on various other threads, for example the one where Concerned JW refused to answer whether or not he had even read either of Hassan's books. He could have said yes or no, but he refused. The thread is here. Therefore, we don't know if he has any basis for saying whether or not the information on mind control applies to JW's. Similarly, he has refused to answer the original question of this thread.

Wow, this thread has been going nuts while I've been away from my computer.
It has only gone nuts because a nut showed up. I was hoping we could focus on the progress of your discussion with your stepmom. Please let us know how it's going. Maybe even create a thread about it since this one has become scattered.

I don't want to argue with you over what makes one a true Christian, over what makes one a faithful servant of God.
I don't want to argue either. You said you were not aware of any WT publications stating that true Christians do not accept blood transfusions. Notice in my last post that I have discovered that the WT has stated that true Christians do not try to sustain life by taking in blood, and this includes taking blood into the veins, which includes blood transfusions. I'm just sharing some relevant WT information.

For the record, regarding the phrase "true Christians don't accept blood transfusions," here are two WT quotes that are very close to this wording:
Yes, even in centuries past, people saw that God's law ruled out both the taking of blood into the veins and the taking of it through the mouth. Realizing this may help people today to understand the position that Jehovah's Witnesses take, one that accords with God's stand. While highly valuing life and appreciating medical care, true Christians respect life as a gift from the Creator, so they do not try to sustain life by taking in blood. -- 1 Samuel 25:29
w91 6/15 "Saving Life With Blood -- How?"True Christians therefore must "abstain . . . from blood." (Acts 15:20)
w97 8/1 "He Found a 'Pearl of High Value.'"Does the command to abstain from blood include blood transfusions? Yes.

djeggnog - Ok. Point taken. The text I quoted does not say "true Christians don't accept blood transfusions." Here is what it does say:
Today, faithful servants of God firmly resolve to follow his direction regarding blood. They will not eat it in any form. Nor will they accept blood for medical reasons.
Although the above quote does not use the term "true Christians," it does teach that "faithful servants of God" will not accept blood for medical reasons. Therefore, it teaches that if a person accepts blood for medical reasons, that person is not a faithful servant of God.
