by hamsterbait injust noticed on another thread that a letter was sent out telling elders to keep their mouths shut after the wt lost the case?.

yes i am a non believer but also very concerned that his mother, an active & obsessed jw is filling his mind with this sort of thing.
alarm bells are ringing in my head because last night was not the first time he said it.

Maybe she's correct. He didn't understand the teaching about obfuscating. As his mind develops, he will learn more from the JW's about how to manipulate language. At the moment, he's just blurting out the unfiltered version of what he is being taught. Give it time, and he'll absorb their style of dishonesty. They'll make a good liar out of him. They used to call it theocratic warfare.

How do I hear/feel God?
by doinmypart inthis is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.
i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..

I was thinking about this behavior over the past few days. I have an acquaintance who I recently found out is a Hare Krishna, so I started looking them up. What do I find on various discussion boards when active Hare Krishnas respond? The same thing: talking in riddles.
They don't even know what they mean, as demonstrated by tec in the following:

Why I truly come in!
by justmom inhello everyone.... i would honestly like to share why i come to this site when i am able to.. i too, like many here spent my whole life inside the wt along with my husband who was born in.
(i was 6) we have raised three wonderful sons now 27, 23, 21 who the youngest was almost 7 when we left and we were disfellowshipped.
(for so-called apostacy of course)and since then all of us partake of the christ by eating and drinking the manna and his blood.

by Gorbatchov inyesterday evening gorby attended the local congregation meeting.
his mouth fell wide open hearing the accusion of the catholic church in a magazine presentation demonstration.
the church was blamed for child abuse and the new order was the solution for this problem.. the watchtower society defends itselfs talking about abuse is a act of individual persons and no reason for blaming a whole religion.. everday the rank and file and the local and regional management of the witness blames institutions for every bad thing they can find, but dont want to look in the mirror..
