when i spoke by phone recently with the author of that presentation, and pointed out that i had never expressed the views presented, his comment was that from his previous conversation with me (held some months earlier) he "got the impression that i was not on the same wave length" with him.

I'm not going to be upset with myself for expecting a leader, who wants the support of the public, to find a place somewhere in between those two extremes. If they can't or won't do that on a consistent basis- in my book they don't qualify as a leader.

It just seems that a lot of people are upset because it is coming down to two camps, with two leaders. I was just saying, neither one is worth being a leader in our lives. I think the fact that it has gone on this long proves it. With Ray asking to have something posted here, was no different then the thought of silentlambs posting something about him. I think they should keep it between themselves. Anything else shows a lack of class.

By the way, I like when people disagree with me. It teaches me things about myself.

I only refer to myself by that term with a select group of people. In reality, I never hardly mention it. On here though it fit. I do not self title myself as a Ex-Jw.

A funny thing just happened on CNN with J.W's

a humorous moment just happened on the news.

the news crews were all staking out john mohammeds ex-wifes house where the car was registered.

neighbors said they go around wearing the muslim dress and shit.

Perhaps the problem lies in the fact that we sometimes want to think that all people in leadership should be perfect, and then get frustrated or upset when they are not. When in reality we should be upset with ourselves for letting anyone hold the leadership position in our minds again.

Silentlambs to me, does some good and helps some people. I stress "some", as abuse is far larger then the scope they look at.

Ray Franz to me, does some good and helps some people. I stress "some", as cover-ups in cult religion is a far larger then the scope it looks at.

Basically, if their cause means something to you. NEVER NEVER NEVER see them as your leader. Go out and do things on your own for the cause, and don't feel any obligation to be anything like them. When I read about these men, I think "sounds like a good cause and they are doing things to help people." Yet if they asked me to help them with their cause, I would say "no thanks, I have my own ideas on how things should be done and they do not concur with yours, but good luck in your efforts anyway."

Maybe we should just take both less serious to the point that we do not argue for months about what either one says. I just feel they should keep their thoughts between each other, and I think Bill owes the board a apology for getting others involved that had no business in knowing.

let's face it.... the only reason the d.c. sniper was caught was because his pride--arrogance, really--got out of hand.

he bragged about another cold-blooded killing that he had made a month ago.

what his stupid ass didn't realize is that he gave a break to competent officials who were looking for any opening.

I agree that the media is as much to blame, take for example school shootings of the 1990's ...

Before these started happening, no one really ever gave it any thought. Then with all the attention given it suddenly planted the solution into some sick minds, of what to do with bullies and those that mistreated them. Soon school shootings were common place, until the fire of media attention weakened on the subject.

... now with the sniper, do not be surprised to see copy cat killers. This happens all the time, and within a couple of months I am sure someone will step up to bat to try their hand at this as well. It is not like they will need to plan it out in much detail. The media will give them a "how to manual" on the news at eleven.

How do you base your faith?

one day a student from the local university decided that we was going to write a thesis on how people define their faith.

he then asked the next question, "why?

the student thought he might not of heard him, so he repeated the question again.

True "faith" is blind... therefore baseless.

I once made that statement to a blind man and he corrected me. To say because someone is blind or something is blind, does not mean it does not exist. It only means you have to use other senses to figure out what is going on. Thus, in my example above. Some do have blind faith, whereas others have reasons for their faith. Reasons to me are those other senses that help ones to find what means something to them.
