  Oh, and MsGrowingGirl20, it isn't the truth. When you see the lengths they went to change the Bible with their translation, it can't be the truth.

  One very simple example is Romans 8:1 in the NWT. It says "Therefore those in union with Christ Jesus have no condemnation."

  Pretty simple verse, right?

  Except, the translators (and I use that term very generously in their case) of the NWT left out the word 'now,' which is definitely 100% in the Greek. Everything other translation reads something to the effect of 'So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.' (NIV)

  Why would they leave out such a simple word? Because if there is 'now' no condemnation, meaning right this instant and after receiving justification etc, the WTS has nothing to hold against you. No future promises of forgiveness, none of that. It puts you straight onto the path of working for your salvation.

  Their'legal' backing simply consists of saying 'it's legal, because we say it is,' which is very remicisent of the JW's actually..

  Donating blood

  our daughter's school is having a blood drive today and me and mrs. babycheezits thought about signing up.

  it's been on my bucket list i just haven't done it yet.. .

  I've done it recently for the first time, and it was a pretty cool experience. Turns out I have the rarest blood type of all, O-. Now, I'm don't think the blood services folks would lie about something like that, but just the same, they would like to get to you to donate more regularly. Go for it!

  who's topic was something to the effect of 'coincidences in the history of wtbts and jehovah's direction'.

  i believe it was an american bro., who claimed that a woman who owned a mansion in atlanta, at the time of general sherman's march to the sea, and subsequent burning of atlanta, had her mansion saved.

  Iran vs Israel and the USA = WW III (Should we be worried?)

  this particular bowl of soup has been bubbling for some time now, with various posturing and toing and froing.

  looking at the media and the subsequent comments from israel regarding iran, it looks clear that something is going to happen soon, very soon..... with iran having the ears of both china and russia, israel having the us and of course we (uk) as the states poodle on the other side.

  i wonder if this could be the beginning of the end?.

  I simply can't see China and Russia letting Iran go into the control of the West. Russia isn't oil poor, but China doesn't have a ton of the stuff. Iran is the last big oil prize in this region. US got Iraq, UK got Libya, and now they want Iran too? Might be just too much..

  Anyone do sales for a living by any chance?

  i just started in sales recently and have been really good at it.

  of course, i grew up a jw, lol.. anyways, i was working on closing an account and took another guy at my work with me to go over the specifications and get quotes and that sort of thing.

  well, after the meeting he called and emailed her to ask further questions without my knowledge.. so, i called her yesterday and she completely flipped out about the way he treated her saying that he was pressuring her and bullying her.

  From what I know of sales, each customer account that is yours is your customer account. The only person that should be handling the account is you. It sounds like the other person, if they were a fellow salesperson, were trying to close the deal behind your back and get the commission..

  the purpose behind the article is to explore my own doubts and long-standing confusion over the genesis narrative - particularly the events surrounding adam and eve's expulsion from eden, and the "two trees" (namely the "tree of life" and the "tree of the knowledge of good and bad").. in my article i discuss my confusion over what the exact properties of the "tree of the knowledge of good and bad" may have been, and the fact that evidently by eating of the fruit adam and eve did not become sinful but more godlike.
