I enjoyed many days in the early 70's when I was workin in FS with my wife to be. We had some nice walks in Autumn, in those small Quebec towns. We had great conversations with the simple people from those towns. Perhaps none of them became JW's, but, they were friendly to us. Was it a waste of time? Why do I look back at those days with pleasant thoughts? I often think about those small towns and want to revisit them.

What's this? A new meaning for those two scriptures.
Now, we shall follow you, for now we know that you have the truth.

Amen, Venting.
A few other things.....
Women should have the right to wear pants.
Men should have the right to grow a beard
Those with hearing problems should have the right to masterbate, and they should announce that change with a new video, with the guy smiling this time.
Now I'm getting a headache.

He shouldn't be calling you at work. Calls from your work line should only be used on an emergency basis. That you should definitely tell him to never call you at work again.
I would imagine that if they do schedule a visit, it will be wednesday night. Find something else to do that night, if you don't want to have that visit.

COBE cannot be 80 or more
by fader77 ina new letter no longer allows an elder to be cobe if hes 80 or more.
-
Quarterback
Most of the COBE's in our area are pains in the but. They were all appointed by our last CO who really wanted to stir things up. That CO is now retired, thank god. But, we still have these pains in the but, COBE's. None of the Elders like these appointed guys as well. It really is a lonely job.

What do you call a person who . . . ?
by Terry inwhat do you call a person who keeps promising to do something for you--but won't get up off their ass and do it?.
what do you call a person who needs money from you all the time and doesn't pay it back?.
what do you call a person who keeps you waiting and waiting and then, they don't show up?.

Blues Brother, and Terry, I don't believe in all of the interpretations of men, or the GB. I don't even believe that I'm smart enough to interpret God to anyone. I just look at this planet, and wonder about how brilliant the Creator was. I think that we may be giving Him a bad rap.

What do you call someone who created the human race?
What do call someone who allowed the human race to exist and to prove that they are worthy of living on this planet without harming it?
What do you call someone who has the ability to give mankind a gift of living forever, that is something that animal kind doesn't posses, nor do they instintively want to?
What do you call someone who created the many Galaxys, Stars, planets, living organisms etc?
What do you call someone who gets accused for everything bad by some humans, and he still wants to save the human race?
Some call him, Jehovah

Most who are generous do not wish to advertise their gifts. That's why it's not visible.
I saw at a grocery store someone who got to the counter with her food, and when it came down to purchase them she reached in her purse and couldn't locate her wallet. She told the clerk to leave the bag of groceries aside and she would return later after she had located her wallet. When she returned and offered to pay for her groceries, the clerk told her that it was already paid by the person who was behind her in the line. That grocery bill was approx $100.00. The purchaser didn't want to be identified.
These acts of kindness are being conducted by many and not just JW's. But, in this case, it was a JW who did this to a stranger.
