  Jehovah's Witnesses took over my hotel in June (Please read).

  there was a convention in milwaukee from june 20th-22nd.

  the witnesses literally took over our hotel!

  they were more demanding than i remember when i was a kid.

  I can't wait for the Convention Reminders for 2015 in the KM's.

  " We've received complaints from Hotel staff that claim you are demanding coffee, and food. Just because you have to bring your lunches to the convention, and you can't leave for the day, you should'nt expect the Hotel to feel that burden.

  Some are even questioning their rates that they were charged, comparing them to the Lodging List that you are required to use. Please note the fine print on the list."Prices subject to change without notice". If a price is not honored just move on to the next choice on the list. When the you have done so, and you run out of Hotels, go to your cong Secretary. The society does not provide secretary locations.

  We've heard that some brothers are hugging the Hotel staff. This practice must stop, even if your wife is ugly and pioneering."

  I have to admit that there exists differences of concepts between Jesus, Paul, and the FDS. If I were to choose, I would chose to follow the pattern of love from Jesus example. I know that the Bible canon is Inspired and that Paul's words are there. But, I don't even believe that the current FDS follow Paul's words accurately.

  Jim Penton's beloved wife Marilyn died today.

  her suffering is finally over.

  marilyn has been battling cancer for about three years and at times it looked like she would win.

  but in the last few months the cancer spread.

  Why did they have to complain about the JW rebate? Was this overlooked? I remember going to some cities, when you had no choice to book a room, because of the approved Lodging List. Then the Hotel Administration got deceitful, and ripped off some JW's. We complained to the convention dept, but they said they wouldn't be used next year. BS, they still were. I used to manage a Hotel in my younger years, and I knew what was honest practices.

  bassist charlie haden and journalist john seigenthaler.. during my pioneer years in the late 1960s and early 1970s my pioneeer buddy and i would go to the lighthouse in hermosa beach, ca.. and listen to the great jazz artists of the time.

  when we were underage they would let us in through the alley door.

  Is is right to leave your job for the WT? In an assembly interview

  we had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the co because she left her job to do more wt work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down.

  most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job.

  anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldnt find enough work to support his family here.

  I always have mixed emotions when I hear those experiences. For one thing, I worked for companies that had many JW workers, and logically we couldn't all be away at the same time. Some had to compromise and attend on another date. I did experience some conflicts with some employers that wouldn't budge at all on this so, I would rather say that I quit on them, I did benefit from sticking to my principles, but not everyone was that fortunate. I finally got a job that honored my religious views and paid me an additional vacation day to attend my DA. My advice is, if you hate that job, and you beleive that you can find another one, then take the leap.
