Two hours wasn't really needed to tell that story. It's horrible that young females were forced into marriages and abused for so long. But when you talk to a Mormon group today, they'll tell you that they were not from that group. That was a splinter group.

Blondie,
My how things have changed. I can remember going to Circuit Assemblies, and a orchestra of musicians were organized by the brothers. I remember them welcoming volunteers. Then all of a sudden, learning to become a musician became unimportant. This organization hasn't improved during the last 50+ years. I was saddened that my favourite song didn't survived through on the last Kigdom melody changes.

For one thing, there was a nasty Lawsuit launched by the Bees. They didn't appreciate us singing about molesting Bees. Then there was this change in contribution arrangement. So, we can't take Life's water free, anymore. The tune to Shulamite Maiden was kept, but, the Shulamite maiden was misunderstood for a reason for sisters to buy more shoes.

Have you ever heard Jehovah's Witnesses Praying for Non JWs Getting Killed by Islam?

Honestly, I really can't say if they did or not. When I hear a GB member give a prayer at a assembly, they go on so long. I usually lose myself in the moment and my thoughts tend to drift away. My reality tends to travel back to my brain when I hear the word, "Amen". Then, I join the applause to thank the person for finally running out of breath. Others may aplaud for different reasons

So we knew that this change was coming back in April. This apparent new announced change could be something else. Or, my sources are out to lunch
Thanks, Blondie.
There is some reference to the resurrection hope in that WT article, too. Maybe more information about that.

Would You Convert to Islam to Avoid getting Your Head Chopped Off? Atheist to Polytheist, what say you?
by BucketShopBill inwould you convert to islam if they were holding your head on a ax block, ready to swing the ax or sword to cut your head off?
we know there are people who died for their political and spiritual values, would you convert to islam to avoid death?
for atheists, can you justify conversion to preserve life since there is no life after death?

Sometimes I wonder about those statememnts made by Elders going to visit JW patients in hospitals. They say, " We went to encourage them, but, they encouraged us in return". Well, there were many times that I wanted to say, " I went to encourage them, but, they are really a mess. Now, where did I put that whisky bottle?".

Wow, the above posters have really identified some real Mental Issues that I would find it very disturbing to handle. I know the difference between Depression, and Discouragement. I'm not qualified to treat Depression, but I think that anyone who shows some caring attitude towards such ones could provide some value or benefit. You don't have to be an Elder to help. Notice I said help, not cure
