  Since Elders And Mini Servants Have To Be Exemplary How Does Anyone Ever Qualify?

  it seems to me that you must be almost perfect to be a " servant" in the organization today.

  no college, no spiritually weak in the family, no disfellowshipped living at home, no tight pants, etc......who can live up to their lofty ideals?.

  Will Elders Still Perform Marriages If The Sister Doesn't Marry At Least A Ministerial Servant?

  based upon the last big meeting this past weekend, would it be proper for an elder to perform a wedding ceremony if the brother is not at least a mini servant?.

  Over here in Canada, as long as you are legal age, and pub's in good standing you can get married. It's one thing to live your life with common sense, and another thing to listen to counsel from a narrow minded individual. I wonder just how many lives, Morris has ruined with his dogmatted view.

  Sweat/Yoga pants are replacing blue jeans

  a fad that got started as a working mans pants is being replaced by yoga pants.

  we encourage all to be examples to the flock.. jesus stated, as recorded in matt 5:29 .

  ' if, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you.+ for it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be pitched into gehenna'.. we certainly do not want to stumble or, worse yet, be a stumbling block to the congregation.

  evidently jesus was stating a principle here in matthew that he intended true christians to apply to all aspects of their lives and not just their eyes.

  Before you talk evil about a man, walk a mile in his shoes, sorry, socks.

  I have done that, and I noticed that coloured socks have made me think undesirable thoughts. They made me miss meetings, service, show up late, and they're making me want to stare at the girls wearing spandex.

  If there was a Branch/Zone visit in Scotland NSWT, They would probably ask you,

  Why is your service time wee bit during the month, and your beer mugs, frigging huge?

  Why do you come to the meetings a wee bit late, and your colourful socks under your kilts are friggin huge?

  Why is Johnny Boy so concerned about those pipes a piping, when he should be thinkin about some Field Service.?

  "Jehovah's spirit is being blocked in the congregation"

  so, how many times have we heard this expression (or a variation of it):.

  "jehovah's spirit seems to be blocked here in the congregation...perhaps he is bringing something to light...etc".

  it seems that the org often uses this expression, and links it with the "fact" that god wont bless a cong as much,(or at all) if there is "stuff" or "sins" being carried out.. so, why is it then that the cong i am in is experiencing its best years of activity in all aspects?
