I sense that the Leaders are Pwer hungry, with a small percentage hanging in hoping to make a change. However, I see that not all members are willing to give them the power. Some are just hanging in waiting, hoping for improvement. The ORG is a fragile entity.

everything about everything in elementary school goes against the doctrines of the jehovah's witnesses.
how do jw's expect to make any money if all of their kids are defecting the jw's?

Yes, I agree with Awake: Watcher. Funny how this week we had a fmily gathering and we were discussing this very subject. My children who went to school remarked how many Predators they were exposed to. However they managed to escape the worse. We had no knowledge until many years went by and Justice dealt with such individuals. There was bullying, drugs, sex abuse, firearms, and all of these I couldn't remember when I went thru the school system.
If I was a parent today, Home Schooling would be a good alternative for a concerned parent.
But, if chosen, you must be prepared to be disciplined, and organised

Do you think that a Food Bank is possible? Jesus and the Apostles did have money set aside for the poor. How long do you think it will take the GB to figure that out? If, they did, how would it be implemented?

I love my life but I hate the long Canadian Winters. If I had a choice, I would spend longer times down south. I would still be a witness either way. I think that, that Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder (SAD) affects me.
The JW environment is kind of like the work/family atmosphere. You can't choose your workmates/brothers or sisters. So you pick who your friends are going to be.
The JW life may not be for some that can't live up to the rules though.

visit.

Yes, this is not unusual. In one year we lost 4 Elders. The individual reasons were kind of similar.
1) Children that went to university
2) Wife that never came to a meeting because of depression
3) Wife divorced her Elder husband because she wanted a child, and he didn't.
4) Service hours fell below 10 hrs a month for the husband and wife.

Well, I'm glad we are getting to the source of the problem. I thought that maybe the removed Elders were wearing colorful socks with metero sexual suits.
Maybe theirs wive's were wearing spandex, and refused to exercise in cotton. Maybe their daughters were dating non ministerial servants. Refusing to conform to those new directions would be indecisive.

Well, it seems that many JW families have Turkey on Thanksgiving day. But, I;m Canadian, and if I have Turkey on the date that the US declares Thanksgiving, am I really celebrating it? One thing is for sure, the Bethelites are not having Turkey. It's really crazy how petty it's getting with a certain food that is ok to eat any of the 365 days a year.
