Canada may get a new government today

) but canada actually has a national election today.. first results are starting to come in and so far it's all liberal party.. i think it's time harper and the conservatives got the boot.

No longer wanting to attend meetings

hello everyone.. first post here.

long time follower of this website, probably 4 years now.

i've known about ttatt since ive been 18, im now 22 going on 23 but still go to meetings because of parents.

Welcome, first of all, if you are living under your parents roof and you are still dependent on them, the pressure gets harder. If you are employed, and financially capable in providing for yourself, then it gets easier for you to get your independence. If it's the latter, move out.

No longer qualifies to share in the ministry?

i heard that co's were provided with a talk outline in which people who dress and act too "gay" could eventually "no longer qualify to share in the ministry", should they not change the way they look!.

has anyone else ever heard of any other reason for which someone would be disqualified from the ministry?.

i have been given a piece of birthday cake as it was his birthday yesterday!

will i be a human hot dog now?.....

this just got me thinking of all the stupidities of the watchtower teachings, someone very kindly offers you something as innocent as a slice of chocolate cake but we were supposed to turn it down because that peace of chocolate cake now had horns poking out the top of the chocolate frosting.

was just out shopping and came across two middle aged female witnesses with their magazine trolley..

i approached them and they were all glee and smiles and ready to hand me a couple of magazines.

one moment ladies i have just a couple of questions..

Well, I guess it depends on who the individuals are that are in the public with a cart display. I know some that just stand there meekly, and smile, and I know some that can talk circles around someone and right or wrong they can certainly win arguments. It depends on who you get that day. Sometimes you'll win the battle, but who is winning the war? Where will you be 20 years from now? The JW's will surely be here and still smilling

I guess what I'm trying to say in this topic, is that those two JW's were told to smile and not to engage in an argument. Even if they dissagree/agree with the errors of the WT, they were told that they cannot stand there and win arguments. That is something that is hard to do. I really feel for them. Sometimes they are used as target practice by some who have a bone to pick with the Org.

I'm not trying to defend that "Millions Now Living", theme or talk. You're right, it was probably designed to support the end is close concept. That is not as bad as blessing weapons to kill other nations. Surely layong blame on two smiling sisters wasn't the way to go.

Lights

i know some jehovah witness that have a yard full of lights, that they put on at night time.

but when xmas comes around they don't light them up!

of course, because they don't want their neighbors to think they believe in xmas.

Every day is Xmax day in JW world. Yes the lights should be on year round. I keep my lights in Dec. The days are shorter at that time of year. I like to display my lights on my Snow Man. I have two fake Polar Bears in the Back yard. My wife is worried about the message that it sends, but who's the boss?

Well, let's really look into the fleecing of the KH's. I couldn't rightly call it that in what I experienced. In our city our mortgages were up the wazoo. We had a new KH and mortgaged to the tone of 1.5 million. It took four cong's finance it. Another KH reno that was 1/2 a million. That disappeared and we started paying less for use of our KH's I really don't care who owns those Bldg's Eventually those Bldg's will be confiscated.

The Royal Commission finally woke up every body, Catholic's, Prostetants, YMCjust . etc about not trusting your children under the care of anyone you don't really know. The JW's should admit that they have a lot to learn about that mistake.

Millions now Living will never die. So the Judge was wrong on that one, eh. At least he wasn't blessing the Arm's that other Religious Leaders were doing during the two major wars.
