Multiple Abuse ...
by talesin ini wonder how many posters here are not only in recovery from spiritual abuse (jws) , but other traumas,, such as sexual and physical abuse,,, or rape as a young person (ie, child or teen).. .
how many of us are recovering from double - or triple - trauma ... ?.
anyone want to share?.

SW, that's interesting. I know that it is written in the book of Acts,that the Apostles were witnesses of Jesus. However, they stated such because they literally were eye witnesses of Jesus' life, and ministry, and message. We adopted that name Jehovah's Witnesses in the 30's. The apostles were not called Jehovah's Witnesses.
EYZ, In the book of Acts, it mentions that they they increased as time went on. However, it was the Apostles that took the lead in the Preaching work. Later on in Eph 3: 11 it states that some had different gifts in the readjustment of the congregations. "Evangelizer", was such a gift. Not everyone had that gift.

Well, this is all very interesting, but, I work for the government and I have never disclosed private personal information.
I remember an Elder mentioning to me about an Employee who worked at a Hotel, that wasn't on the Soc. approved list. It was very convienient, because it was situated right next to the Convention. This employee was asked to disclose the names of the ones who stayed at that hotel, so that if any were found out to be Elders, or MS's they would lose their positions.
I was appalled at that. I told that Elder that I was shocked to hear about that, and that I would never go against a sworn oath and disclose such information. I was shocked that the Society endorsed this kind of spying

They will support that by saying that it applies to the teaching positions in the church....not outside...after all women are not permitted to teach in the cong.

WH. Good point. I do think that the ORG is worried about Perception though. If the newspapers printed that JW's are punished for not doing FS, they would have worse problems.

Heaven: They will just use Mtt 28: where it mentions Jesus telling his desciples to, "Go therefore, and make disciples..........etc.
