  a guy on there just posted this regarding changes to the way the jws volunteer at conventions in spain and the changes seem fairly major:.

  we had a special meeting today called a training session for volunteers.

  No More Money!

  as of this june (i've already given my may contributions which are substantial) i am no longer giving money to support useless building projects that serve no good purpose.

  i am no longer giving money at conventions or assemblies.

  i am no longer giving money toward the circuit overseers upkeep.

  I did the acco a nunts for over 9 years. I love the freedom when I was given a new assignment. I never did write a cheque or ask for a receipt. I usually provided cash. The only ones that knew I was contributing was to ones that spied on whoever was putting money in that box. I would give Visa Gift cards to the CO's and pioneers in a thank-you card. Trust you it wasn't millions, and not significant enough to claim it on my taxes. But, it was more than adequate.I too am bummed out with those financial request bombarding the cong, and I refuse to give anything more.

  Last night's bible highlights: David was wrong to greive for his son!

  last night's bible highlights was really eyebrow raising!

  the brother pointed out at lenght about how david had wept when his son absalom was killed.

  but that because absalom was killed while opposing jehovah that means that david was wrong and weak to greive for him.. it was applied to today by saying that if our children are df'd when they die then we should not grieve for them either!.

  Grieving is a natural process. Some grieve longer than others. Some do not understand it, because they never experienced a close loved one dying. David grieving for Absalom was natural, and good. I know that this application is not shared

  My wife, and another sister who had the same experiences with her had a kind discussion with her. She decided to cool it off. Hope this is the end of it.

  OTWO: What did I do? Nothing, My wife just wore that live rattlesnake on her shoulders. It bit the Lesbian twice. She's not gonna be hugging anyone else for awhile.

  Thanks for your comments. We solved the problem, and this was a problem, although some didn't see it that way. I sort of knew that this subject would spark controversy.

  Oubliette: I googled your question, a few sites came up. Take a look.

  Hmmm....so some good suggestions were given. Move seat location, Say little about it, Put my arm around my wife first. Sit next to the Lesbian, Ask the Lesbian to massage my back next.

  There is such a wealth of wisdom on this site. Thanks. But, I can't stop thinking that some are really holding out. Come on now, What more can be done?
