As of this June (I've already given my May contributions which are substantial) I am no longer giving money to support useless building projects that serve no good purpose. I am no longer giving money at conventions or assemblies. I am no longer giving money toward the circuit overseers upkeep. I am no longer giving money period. Yes, that includes the Kingdom Hall upkeep.

I will, though, continue giving money to those in the congregation who are in need. To widows who are in financial difficulty, to brothers and sisters who have lost their job or who can only find part time work.

My money would be better spent at the humane society than in the Watchtower organization.

I stopped contributing many years ago.

I almost wish I hadn't, just so I could stop now!

    Almost.

If everyone stopped contributing to the Watchtower World Wide Pedophile Defense Fund, the Borg may actually go broke.

Thanks for doing your part HMTM.

I quit some of my contributions while I was still an elder because I saw the waste there was at the circuit level, as well as by my Cong BOE. I thought I was doing good to exclusively donate to the Kingdom Hall Building Fund, thinking that 3rd World sites would get a modest new Kingdom Hall and this was better than pissing it away locally. At that time I still trusted the WTS to use my donations wisely.

It was sometime later that I determined that the WTS had no special connection to Holy Spirit or anything else. Just another group of men who thought they had God smiling down on their decisions. Delusional. Just like most BOEs.

I was a bit slower to see it for the full money laundering scam that it is. I cannot see how they need all of this money simply to cover regular expenses. I'm convinced they are trying to establish a huge type of endowment fund (or nest egg" to help sustain the Borg perpetually without having to depend on the lessening donations from the R&F which have continually declined and are undependable (esp in economic downturns).

Isn't it sad how the contributions work in a way that would be unrecognisable to the first century christians, to Paul and the apostles.

Hold Me-Thrill Me. I wish other JWs (including those that you help) would stop contributing to the WTBTS.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

Yeah, funny to think that in the first century those donations were actually going to help orphans and widows!! actually that right there shows you how messed up the JW religion is :/.
