Challenging JWs at Cult Carts
by cofty inif i have time i always talk to jws when i see a cult cart.. they are in a public forum promoting a harmful ideology therefore they are fair game.
having said that, the individual jws on the trolley are not the enemy so i think it's better to keep it as friendly and non-confrontational as possible.. being realistic no jw is going to admit they are wrong because of something we say to them on the street but don't underestimate the long-term effect of doubts.. so what are your ideas for how to approach them?.
personally i like to use the literature on the cart.

JWs standing on mats whilst Cart Witnessing
by Listener ini've come across a guy on youtube that has been approaching numerous jws in public cart witnessing.
actually, calling it witnessing is beyond a joke because most of the time they are just standing there and in the case of this youtuber, they walk away in silence or turn their heads.the youtuber is not a jw and i don't think he ever was, he calls himself a christian and i don't think he is affiliated with any particular religion.there is one video where he shows about 4 jws standing on a square plate with a yellow marking on the edge, they each have their own plate.
i am curious as to why they are standing on these?

I've just figured it out. Those mats are producing Hallogram images of people standing over the carts. No wonder they are unresponsive to the guy verbally abusing them.
Very smart

Question about baptism around 1973- can anyone answer for me?
by Virgochik ini am hoping someone will take a look at this and be able to help me with my question.. i was baptized in 1973, you know, because i was a teenager and old enough to stand on my own when armageddon descended in 1975. .
perhaps elders, or any former elders especially, but anyone who was around then could help me with this question, because i honestly don't recall, and really need to know.. what were the baptismal questions the candidates responded to back then?
were we still asked if we repented of our sins, turned around, and were being baptized in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit?.

I too was baptized around then. I remember going through the Lamp book at that time. -

There are two cart witnesses outside of my office window - Faneuil Hall in Boston - should I approach them?
by Billzfan23 ini asked a couple of them farther up the street by north station if they had ever seen beth sarim - and that they should look it up...for some interesting facts about their history.. .

Well, cigarettes don't appear in the Bible too. But, we know that it is wrong to smoke them.
The word Governing Body is not a title, but a term to refer to for a Leadership. That exists in Governments, Business organizations, Clubs etc...It's not wrong to call the Leadership of the WT as a GB.

I'm sure they'll be ready for Sir 82's question. Here is my question for Oppostate. What does that sister, with the blue bag, take in her coffee? -

Chicago Med - Gets it wrong - Shows a JW Couple refuse a Cell Salvage procedure during Heart Bypass
by Quarterback ini like watching all the chicago shows.
chicago med, chicago fire, and chicago pd,.
but this week they showed a jw couple that refused a procedure that was left to the concience of a jw.

Robo: I live in a big city and there was a Large article in a Major News Paper that featured that procedure done on a accepting JW. The JW in the article quoted from a WT publication that this was alright. I imagine that some would object due their own consciences. I suppose every has the right to choose a medical procedure whether you are a JW or not. Chicago Med was not portraying the JW's accurately in this matter. -

Those mats looks like a great idea.
The guy in the video antagonizing the Witnesses is an asshole. I don't think I would of had the patience to deal with him

Toes up: Good observation. I missed that
Viola: I also wondered about that too
Steve: You're right about the laziness of those script writers
