@Joliette - I would think so. However they can break every rule taught by/through the theocratic school and not be counseled. It used to bug me that public speakers were basically untouchables as far as being given counsel. Some were just so bad and broke so many of the "counsel" points that any young man enrolled in the theocratic school would receive a W for. If a MS or even some elders were not of a high enough standard they were deemed suitable for a talk in the local congregation but not for sending out to other congos. But this was not that well followed and congos were forced to endure some terrible speakers.

@BluesBrother - The "Special Talk" is indeed a manuscript and is basically read and made to "sound" as much as possible like a regular talk. It may well be the speakers emphasis, but not his own words. Bin there, done that,

2 year old in China run over-people just walk by

the callousness of the 'people' walking by this poor, sweet baby as she lay writhing in pain and all alone, was horrific to say the least.
my blood truly felt like it ran cold and i've been thinking about this little girl all night.

Yes horrific - But read this link and it can sort of explain "why" it could happen. Because of different cultures and conditions we can not even begin to understand - The van that hit her keeps going even though it requires giving it the gas to get the back wheels over her and then the other van literally runs over her - it shatters our sensibilities. But it is a sad thing that in this world different cultures have different values of/on life.

Well then erbie. I did know some of that info about sheep. And how appropo that the society uses sheep and for that matter I guess the bible does as well in describing the r and f jw. If shun that person, I will too. And my wify will. And, and, and. LOL.

@ wannabefree - Thank-you so much for your "deepness". But I still think that is a pathetic creepy picture/illustration. I truly believe that they (the society or whatever) is slipping, as in no longer being able to put together what I believe to be useful teaching aids.
Also wannabefree, do you really believe this part is accurate. "yet they do make sacrifices, in the sense that they use their time, energy, and resources
to serve Jehovah." Do you really think that they use their time, etc. to serve Jehovah. Do you really think that Jehovah wants them to spend their time driving for miles, often times, to get to a territory that has a half a dozen not at homes that will in all logic be not at home again because no effort is made to change the time of day. And then the trip to the coffee shop is a further use of time, energy and resources. I know full well that not ALL do the ministry like that, but engaged in the routine over enough years with enough different car groups that I know that is not at all atypical.
