I have two children and two grand children non of whom are witnesses. If i were still a practicing witness, everyday I would be looking forward to their horrific death. Now I realize I would not be thinking in those terms because my cult trained mind would cause my excitement to centre around my salvation, my successful entry into the new world order. But non the less their deaths would be included in the fulfillment of my hope on a daily basis for armagedon to arrive. Kinda sicko when you think about it.

The Gentile Times Reconsidered
by Spade indisproving the date 1914 as a significant year in bible prophecy is of great importance to some (e.g.
carl o. jonsson).
along with the meticulous details of bible and secular chronology, broadening one's horizons when assessing exactly what this date represents when compared against the 6000 years of human history likewise has merit.

Is spade really Charlie Sheen?? They seem to display a similar lucidity.

This gave me the rage
by Marmite inpicture the situation:.
a jw sister, let's call her marjorie, has a non jw father who died.
she arranges for an elder to take the funeral at a crematorium and marjorie's non-jw husband pays for a reception at a pub afterwards.. marjorie has a disassociated son.

The elder should never have agreed to do this in the first place. But by doing so he thought he might have a free forum to turn someone to Jah. I know, kinda stupid. But I didn't say it makes sense. They do everything in a selfish way. If they think there is a possibility of some small benefit for them, they do it. But some kindness and consideration for others - nada

Does Jehovah hate beards?
by brotherunsure inhas the watchtower ever rationalized their obsession with depilation or claimed there was a biblical basis for banning beards, or is it simply because jehovah's corporation/faithful and discrete slave says so?.

I realize that Blondie is technically more correct, BUT this shows how these silly "rules" are just wrong. What I was really commenting on was that rule in MY life. When I experienced the rule and its effects was as I said during that period when the hippie movement was the "thing" to worry them. And as I pointed out it was also when colored shirts, an even more assinine rule was rolled out.

My recall on this issue was that back in the days of the hippie movement that beards became somewhat linked to that lifestyle. Therefore showing up at door with a beard could cause the householder to have a closed mind because many viewed hippies as rebellious. Remember when they got all excited about the young people letting their hair grow longer. And what about the big brewhaha when the colored shirts came into style. For a period of time they couldn't be worn on the platform. There was even one congregation that had a white shirt available and asked the speaker who dared show up from out of town with a colored shirt on to change into their white shirt, even after the colored shirt became acceptable by Jah. I think we all know how to pronounce "cult"

Jah created man with a foreskin and then commanded the isrealites to cut them off. Same with facial hair, only it was not recorded in the bible, just relayed by holy spirit to the gb.

About the Adam and Eve time gap....
by Lozhasleft inwhat's got me a bit befuddled is this.... when eve was created she was physically perfect right?
and apparently god blessed them which counted as a marriage.
so....that means that satan's deception of eve must have been almost immediate?....because being perfect she would have conceived virtually straight away, surely?

The only example adam had of copulation were animals. where do think he thought it was being inserted. took a period of time to figure out.

by therevealer inif you do a google search on this guy one reference is wikipedia which says that he is "john skoyles is a dyslexic[1] neuroscientist and evolutionary psychologist.".
our upright stance is very energy efficient, for it demands little muscle.
action to sustain the vertical alignment of our body.

Our upright stance is very energy efficient, for it demands little muscle
action to sustain the vertical alignment of our body. In fact, we 'use only 7%
more energy standing than when lying down,' says neuroscience researcher
John R. Skoyles. He adds that a dog uses about 70 percent more energy
when standing (on all fours) than when lying down.
