Love is???
by kevin221 inlove is,.
never having to say you're sorry, (cliche) .
knowing that your soulmate is human and does make mistakes.. finding another kindred spirit, after fate pulls your first love from your grasp.. acknowledging you don't have all the answers, and that you really don't know everything.. knowing there is a purpose for the universe, sometimes you can see it, and sometimes you can't, even if you try.. not allowing the memory of love lost and its abounding beauty to blind us to the future prospect of love to come.. cherishing and honoring the memory of those we have loved and lost.

Laugh out loud funny!!!
by kevin221 ini saw a video last night and part of it reminded me of childhood stories that had been relayed to me from people who had been raised as jw's, so i thought some here might find it interesting.
the video is called "the queens of comedy" and the 2nd comic on the show is adelle givens.
she does a bit in her act about what it was like growing up with a grandmother that was convinced that the world was in it's "last days" and how that affected her as a young girl.

by kevin221 ini just wanted to express my thanks to all on this db for your support and bluntness when needed over the past year.
yesterday 10/8 was the 1 year anniversary of jon's death and i spent it reflecting and just chilling out cause that's what i thought was best.
one thing that came to mind was the help i recieved here and the words of sympathy and encouragement that many of you expressed after jon passed and i just wanted to pass along my thanks again for your kindness.

much to my surprise i was contacted by my attorney this morning and he has collected the judgement that i was awarded from my lawsuit with jons' father.
after attorney fees it comes to about $12,000.00.

Faith? Real or wishful thinking?
by kevin221 ina question for the masses.. is pure faith real, or just a tool the human psyche uses to justify life patterns or actions?
i'm having a hard time understanding how someone could have a secure belief system based 100 % on faith.
let me explain.

Is death the end?

just wondering what the general consensus is among posters on this board to this question, is death the end of existance, or a portal to a new reality?

how does the 2 witnesses to a sin thing work?
let me explain why i'm asking.. about 7 years ago a friend of jon's that he has known as a child contacted him via telephone.
