the other day my wife and i listen to a talk about making the planet and it's people better.
one of the things the speaker brought out was on education.
she brought out studies show that fear causes a person to keep from learning.
I dont know that I was afraid of all the other kids.... I sure wanted to do all the things that they could do, except Halloween. Halloween and armageddon were powerful when I was a kid. I wanted nothing to do with something "directly linked to satan.
I would say lack of education allows others to scare you for sure.
I tell my kids as much as possible.... if anyone tells you not to read a certain book then they are trying to hide something from you. Get knowledge wherever you can !

i will be renting out some property and want to run background checks before lease signing.. at the application stage i always get permission to run credit and background checks but i rarely ran them.. does anyone have suggestion for a good and reasonably-priced site to run the checks?

You need to check your local circuit court access. Near me its called CCAP. Most of my prospective tenants are local and I can find out nearly everything I need from ccap. It has been a great resource
I do verify employement & wages as well. I would suggest using caution in talking with previous landlords simply because your renting to their current tenant could solve all of their problems.... if you know what i mean.

I would venture to guess most are women because they take the religion more seriously than men.
My two children still have to go with their mother and I simply tell them to listen to what jesus says about partaking... not what the man on the stage says about partaking. I think they get it already and they are not that old.

About three months for me. I was a born in. I had just gotten back in (df'd for smoking cigars twice a year) and realized that I really needed to know the deeper things so that I could teach my kids to be good Jdubs. About three months into my research learning about why we didnt do birthdays, why sports and extra curriculars were so bad and why I had stood in front of a Dr and told him that we wouldnt allow blood tranfussions (the single largest regret in my life (my kid is just fine now)) I realized that this was all litterally... just made up.
Started to look at skeptical websites as well after this and put up christmas lights and that was the end. I was still a believer for a while after that but now its fairly obvious (to me) that gods are made in Man's image

then obama became president and we heard how the rest of the world felt that finally they had a person that would respect them and their views and work with them!
