  Governing Body at Bethel and their daily routine

  i never had the privilege to serve at bethel .. therefore, community help is greatly appreciated friends.. do the gb members have their own living quarters separate from the average jw?.

  does their "busy" schedule permit field service, if yes, how many hours a month?.

  how long are their weekly wednesday meetings?.

  What's with this "no windows in kingdom halls" thing?

  i hear many people on this forum say that kh's don't have windows.

  but i have never been to one that didn't have windows.

  is this only in a certain area or something?.

  The reason is simple follow the money....

  A large portion of kingdoms halls dont have windows because putting windows in costs more than just putting up a wall. I know, i know... its not sexy.. its not jdubs killing chickens or anything like that.

  Constructions costs are cheaper the fewer windows you have.

  my mother's church was having a christmas breakfast this past weekend and needed a santa ... i volunteered.. these little ones thought i was the real deal and one is my child.

  when we returned home she went right up to my wife and said ... "mom, santa is real!".

  this jc from 1984 features a brother and his wife, who were evidently about to be df'd for apostasy.

  but the brother knew his ttatt well.

  the elders really couldn't muster any half-way convincing arguments to refute the damning facts on 607 and 1914. even 1975 was touched on.

  why didnt God just do this?

  for one thing, i cant get past genesis, but no matter.. when god told adam and eve if you eat from the tree youll die.

  so why did he not simple let them die and not allow the offspring to?.

  you see, if i was a god, and i told two people that, id let them die , .

  This was a big revelation for me. When I realized that adam and even were just a myth then logically following through to the new testament, there is no reason for an eccentric preacher to be tortured and killed on a torture stake. If we did not "inherit" sin than we have no reason to need a redeamer for that sin.

  Simple.... logic 1 christianity 0

  are jws victims or volunteers?.

  voluntary victims perhaps?.

  i always assured householders who were concerned that i was being "forced".

  You are a victim until you are 18.

  After that your a willing accomplice in everything the organization stands for. At the end of the day, the Watchtower cannot make you do or brainwash you into thinking a certain way. YOU alone are responsible for that. Its tough to hear and why I have great shame for things I did and things I said when I was in.

  I was a victim for 18 years and a willing accomplice for 12. I have few regrets in my life but they were caused be me and my unwillingness to give up "friends" for what I knew to be true.

  Life is much easier and clearer now that I am neither.

  Car accident

  i was in a car accident in a fatality.

  without going into detail i wasnt found in the wrong.

  alcohol and poor judgement were involved with the other party.
