by punkofnice ina vomit inducing comment.. i asked why do they have to specify 'meetings'?
they never miss us in tesco or the showcase cinema bar.. in their defence, a friend of mine said: 'that's because the meeting is where they normally would see you.'.
well, if they want to see you they can arrange a meal out or something.

My mom passed away yesterday....

someone else answered the door.
after they left i walked by our entry way and gagged from the smell!

My tired eyes will not allow me to read all these comments. But at a glance, I can't BELIEVE all the unlikes and negative feedback.
Those JWs had it coming. Every mother loving week we had an announcement reminding the cong to not wear fragrance, "including strong deodorant." It was overkill. Plus that ridiculous Awake article in the early 2000s. Yet somehow the assembly hall bathrooms never failed to smell like a Monsanto warehouse. I have no understanding for those who deposit fragrance chem trails, especially after being made to feel for years that I was expected to wear unscented deodorant.

I'm glad you started this thread because this is on my mind.
My two siblings, our spouses and I are now awake and fading. Our parents and the elders are literally harrassing me, I'm talking 1-2 messages a week for two months now, after I missed 6 mos of meetings.
We are very sad for my parents. They have a lot of anxiety, depression, and insomnia over not being "good enough" and fear of their children's impending destruction.
We want to wake them up. They were baptized as children and are now in their 50s. They are very devout and truly gave their lives away.
In my own search to "make sure of all things" I am writing a series of college classroom style PowerPoints about JW issues. My siblings like them a lot. We want to show them to our parents in a sort of intervention maneuver but are also scared of absolutely shattering then emotionally and subsequently their running to the elders to tattle, as they've done the past.

I had a melt down with my Father over my Mom and Sister not coming to my daughter's Birthday Party.
by adjusted knowledge inlast year my daughter had her first birthday and all my wife's family and friends were there.
my family didn't attend.
my mother and sister still believe in the jw teachings even though they are both considered inactive.

Witnesses - Ever Wondered Why You're So Tired After Assemblies/Meetings?
