  i have just recieved a call from emma, she has been in-undated with emails and has pointed out that as she simply a presenter for bbc radio somerset, a local station, please only email her only if you live in south west england.. her editor has seen the magnitude of the response and realises that this could a big story and looking at escalating to a national level, so the point has been made.. also she wanted to point out that she is only the presenter and the interview and research was undertaken by tammy macallister and she deserves the credit.. it's great to see the exjw community spring into action, but please respect emma's in box!.

  Overheard JW Phone Conversation

  i was sitting down to lunch yesterday when i heard the man at the table behind me say into his phone "yeah, it's going to be hard since they want us to pioneer in april.".

  of course, i was all ears at this point.

  next thing i could pick up over the din of a crowded restaurant was "he has to go to the meetings for a year before he can come back.

  Child Abuse At The Meetings

  please read and i will tell you now this was it was like for me !.

  kingdom halls are a hellish memory for me.

  i grew up as a jehovah's witness from the age of 9 until i fought my way to freedom at age 18. i recall children as young as a year old being beaten repeatedly for not sitting still during services...some sessions, called assemblies, were 6 hours long and lasted for 3-5 days in succession.. my nephew was one of many who felt the literal sting of the watchtower's stance of "spare the rod, spoil the child.

  I was walking my dog and JWs told me about some good news!

  well, it was a nice morning to take my dog for a walk and about a mile from my home i met a car load of jws working the condos.

  two brothers hit on me before they went back to their car.

  apparently they hadn't been able to talk to anyone this morning -10:30am, so they were eager to find a stooge who would listen to them.. i immediately decided i wouldn't talk about their doctrine, so i jumped on the flood of noah after they got the intros out of the way.

  Moshe; You have a FLAIR... TALKING TO JW'S. you twisted them up on the flood then worked other area's like telling the young guy he stiil had time to google the wts. You befuddled them for 20 minutes and the best part is I know it was easy work for you. you were very smart to find out how old they were, and work that angle. they hate when you ask them how long they are jw's . It was brilliant to tell them to google jw's to see why the whole world is LAUGHING at the wts. Moshe my HAT is off to your fine work. JYD

  i just spent about 45 minutes talking to this nice guy jw that became a jw about 10 years ago at the age 40. had a very interesting talk about wt history/ present truth.

  the best part was what the wts lied to him about.

  i get the feeling he will look up some of the stuff.

  THIS THREAD was titled wrong. what I found interesting was talking to this guy that just joined the wt at age 40 not to long ago . And how open his mind was . he didn't once defend the wt but said he married a jw. bottom line that was my opening all I can say is I gave this guy a wts history lesson gave this guy some stuff to look up. He wasn't a true jw's, and that's maybe why we talked so long. I wish him well

  I'm going to end my "bible" study

  i posted a while back, i've been studying with a nice jehovas witness lady for probably about 6 months.

  after a few weeks i googled a few things (earthquakes, how long we've been on earth, ect.

  ) i realised she was very misinformed.

  kristikay; you have gotten lots of great advise here. I've been debating jw's or trying to show them the errors in the WTS for decades. IT'S A WASTE OF TIME. they will allways give you another question to look up, to the point your go wacky. THE LONGER YOU KEEP STUDYING/TALKING TO THEM . THE MORE THEY WILL SCREW UP YOUR MIND. with crazy wt teaching that will take you years to figure out. be SMART JUST TAKE ALL THE BOOKS AND MAG'S THEY GAVE YOU AND DUMP THEM IN THE GARBAGE NOW. i SAID NOW AS IN NOW BEFORE YOU CLEAN THE DISHES. THEN TELL THIS JW LADY SHE IS NO LONG WELCOME IN YOUR HOME DON'T DEBATE HER ANY LONGER AND WISH HER WELL ... RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND NOT SPEND AN OTHER MINUTE TAKING TO THEM.... THIS IS GOOD ADVISE . END IT ALL TODAY!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE HAPPY , EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT NOW. BE SMART AND TELL THEM TO BUG OFF. JYD
