How often did you comment at meetings?
by LDH ini have a theory and i'd like to put it to the test here.. i would be willing to bet that the posters who post a great deal probably commented more than the average publisher at the meetings.. i know it's true in my case.. on simon's forum we have the whole range of 'publishers-' from those that comment a lot ---down to those that are just there.
the lurkers.. what about you?.

Mormon-JW Merger Announced!

it is evident that we mormons, and jehovah's witnesses have similarities that cannot be explained any other way then our merciful father has patiently waited for us to realize we are both the truth!
thru a series of transactions, both legal, and religous, our merger and subsequent unity shall result in our new name, jehwhorman's latter-day saints of new light.

True religion - anyone have a clue?

i would love to know, if anyone does have a clue; being a witness most of my life it gave me this feeling like i really was in the true religion and god really was with me cause i belonged to the "true religion.. i have noticed that witness's say the elders were appointed by holy spirit, how do they know did they see it, it just dawned on me that all of it has been based on the premise that i had to have faith in what they say rather then substantiated facts; all of what they say simply put is nothing more then words, contrived by men only, if you tell them this you get the treatment like your going to be destroyed which is paramount to going and burning in hell.

My take on being a JW (dub)
by Kevinson inahhhhhh.....30 years in this thing and i think i got the best explanation i could think of as to the core of dubbyland.
"in reality they are excircising their god-given freedom to express their beliefs in a public way, united in the conviction that they are good enough to earn god's approval while the rest of mankind is just refuse waiting to be burned.
to me there's a difference between saying one follows known truths in the world, instead of claiming (we are the only one's who have it!

Born Again!
by Kevinson ino.k., maybe not in the traditional christain orthodox sense but a general feeling that anyone, no matter what their situation can face challenges that help them see a different perspective or viewpoint.
i feel i've reached that to a degree as i learn new things, explore strange new worlds, to boldly....... uhh, anyway the point being that i now choose to go by a name that is closely related to my own(add son) wow!
kevinson is the username i now choose.
