Why would they not? All the elders I know have good financial situations and that is at least the merit of the Society's patronage. They are perceived as good business partners by the sheep, I guess.

1) the beginning was mostly about closing branches, kingdom halls etc, but all a proof of gods spirit of course.. then some experiences, you find in a yearbook type as well,.
2) obey the slave, even if you dont fully understand, he compared it with a child trusting their parents (quit condescending, sheeple are like dumb children, mama org will think for them).

I've seen this movie on CD in 2009. It was accompanied by an "questions and answers" article in the Kingdom Ministry so the whole congregation had to watch it. It did not touch my heart and it did not touch my mind. And yes, I think the Society is irreversibly losing the youngsters.

What's the most dumbest/petty thing you've heard of someone being "stumbled" over?
by Reality79 in- some loser once took offense that i hugged a sister goodbye at a leaving do and ran back to the elders like a little child telling on me.
i was 15, this sister was in her 40s at the time.. - this elder said someone told him they saw me with a copy of the sun newspaper.
yes, this paper is known for its 'page 3' topless girls but far from pornagraphic and i wasn't even thinking along those lines.. - one brother who had a good job was 'counselled' because he was actually able to buy himself nice things including a new car (shock, horror!!

I was mildly "counciled" once for wearing a baseball cap backwards while walking through the city. Someone stumbled and told the elders. Also, some brothers were stumbled by my habit of wearing jeans but the elders considered this to be trivial and said nothing.
