As long it's just attempted suicide it's in the sense equal to base jump.

yep, you can face a judicial committee if you try to kill yourself.

so i missed this letter below being read out last week - i got a look at it from the notice board this week.. from what i heard, this announcement was not received entirely positively as such, but there were apparently one or two for who this is a bit annoying.. staying at hotels for the district convention is nothing new here - many are used to staying at the same hotel/b&b/campsite every year, and get quite friendly with the owners.
but this year, it looks like not only do we have a new location for our district assembly (glasgow - the s.e.c.c.?
) but we are being told what hotel to stay at, supposedly to make things cheaper.. what i can't understand is, if this is really for the benefit of people, why didn't they do this years ago?
Expect for the concept of free-rooms-bulk that simply must be baked in it's really about this issue
Providing support for better negotiations in the future
If you promise year after year and fail in the end they do not believe you anymore. For most of the hotels this is also difficult to track. It is not different to corporate deals. If you book with your corporate price, they can count your stay in reports because most of the time only indicator in their PMS system about corporate affiliation is the price type. If you find better/cheaper fare in the very same hotel, the hotel is unable to track you as that corporates traveller, eventhough you made your trip for business. Same here, if you book outside the arrangement and do not mention the group/agreement code, for the hotel it is equal that you did not attend that group event. Seen too many report mismatches between corporate recorded stays in specific hotels compared to what hotels are telling.

share with us memories of the bizarre, funny, strange, what you hated, what you miss...we all have them.
(question..why the big to do between terms- convention and assembly .
Ahh memories, couple things pop-up out of nowhere
There were those times when food and other refreshments were still offered to attending crowd. I was helping in bakery and there were certain parts of the bakings that could not be set to display. i was eagerly eating of those (they were sensational) until one elder came to me and said that I cannot eat the leftovers unless I pay those with my coupons. Guess if I reported in duty next day.
Another, some years later, when hormones were running lots of 100m quarter-finals, we decided with couple of other young brothers to skip making notes on program, but to list points for various sisters we could spot from our seat either directly or with our binoculars. And ofcourse at the end of the convention day we would compare our notes.
Those days, never coming back.

let's not get into an argument over if jesus was historical or not.. i'd just like to know how you think the jesus of the 4 gospels would act and do things in our modern world.
who would he talk to?
what sorts of miracles would he perform?
I have no idea, I guess he would surprise us. I guess this is equally difficult to imagine than guessing before that he would produce lot's of great quality wine to keep party going and get people drunk. Really he would surprise me for sure.

if you could leave the truth again what would you do differently?.

city contributes $150,000 to jehovahs witnesses convention .
by ariella montioctober 22, 2012 | posted in: city council, news, the latest | 0 responsesduring a closed session a month ago raleigh city councilors approved a $150,000 contribution to the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses convention that will be held next year at the pnc arena.. the city has been contributing money toward the event since it first came to raleigh seven years ago.. this is not new, said city manager russell allen.
he said the event has been built into the citys annual budget for awhile.. the approval came during a closed session after the regular sept. 18 city council meeting.
Well it must mean that local witnesses may reach out to some sort of community work to get this 275k contribution fixed, but on top of that they are welcomed to feel free participating in paying assembly costs with their contributions.

i spent far too many.
in fact, i recently created a spreadsheet and documented how many hours i spent in total per week.
it's so depressing.
Don't really have any crasp on total, but after ending my career as pioneer I did way too little to be considered "witness in good standing".
CP
i dont remember the date.
or the year or if it was a district or circuit.
what i do remember is that we rode up with a car full of other female witnesses.
No memories, equally many memories of assemblies prior to that.
